00:00 So, Rochester, it looks like we've passed the peak now and it's come in less than what
00:06 was predicted, which is fabulous news.
00:09 There's still a lot of water around Rochester, but at this stage, and we're yet to confirm
00:15 this, but it looks like we've had no homes with water over the floor.
00:19 That is still to be confirmed, but at this stage we have no reports of water over the
00:22 floor.
00:23 There is a lot of properties that have had water on the property, around the property
00:26 and under the home, but none over the floor at this stage.
00:29 So we had a community meeting yesterday and there was a fair bit of, I guess, anxiety
00:33 and worry about what was going to come.
00:36 But I have to say the town really pulled together.
00:39 They went away from that meeting.
00:41 They knew what they wanted to do.
00:42 The sandbagging site was set up at the rec reserve.
00:45 The community got together.
00:47 We knew the properties that were, the SES had given us the properties that they thought
00:52 would go underwater.
00:53 So everyone rallied around sandbagging those homes, sandbagging the businesses in the main
00:57 street.
00:58 So it was really, really, really good to see the community come together and put the protections
01:04 in place.
01:05 I've got to say walking around town this morning and talking to the locals and the business
01:08 owners, there was a sense of relief that it wasn't as high as what was predicted.
01:13 And that at this stage, it looks like no homes have had water over the floor.
01:17 So there is still a number of roads closed and we would ask people, please do not drive
01:21 through water.
01:22 Even if there's no signs up, don't drive through that water.
01:24 And if there is a sign up, just don't drive around it.
