00:00 Accuweather's extreme storm chaser Aaron Jajak is preparing to track this winter storm in the Hudson Valley.
00:06 It's the first one in the season and you're joining us from Albany, New York. Aaron, what's it looking like there?
00:11 Yeah, so I just got in Albany, New York just a couple hours ago and it is cold here.
00:18 So that cold air that's been mentioned by Accuweather coming down from Canada to create the snowstorm
00:23 that's coming through this weekend is here. Cold air.
00:26 We've had a little bit of snow flurries, cloudy here in the valley. I've punched through the clouds coming through.
00:32 Out of Philadelphia I could see the Hudson River once we got through those clouds.
00:36 But it is looking like people are preparing for that winter storm here. I've got I-87 right back behind me here.
00:42 They've got the signs lit up mentioning the snowstorm coming through starting tomorrow night through Sunday.
00:47 So I'll be tracking that storm here in that Hudson Valley from Albany all the way down to the Catskill Mountains.
00:52 It looks like that Catskill Mountains area could be a bullseye in the Hudson Valley for the snow.
00:57 And you are getting out and about, of course, seeing a lot of the roadway conditions.
01:04 How has that been just traveling around?
01:06 It's not too bad right now. I mentioned a little bit of flurries, but the road conditions are quite good right now.
01:14 But there's going to be a different story in about 24 hours.
01:17 Expecting at least 6 inches here probably in Albany through the valley, 6 to 12 inches.
01:23 But right now the roads are good, traffic's flowing back behind me.
01:26 You can see the interstate cars racing by behind me there on the interstate.
01:29 So no problems yet, but things are going to be changing tomorrow night.
01:33 Probably a lot of last-minute shopping.
01:36 Extreme Storm Chaser Aaron Jajak is covering the storm on the I-87 corridor for us.
01:40 Thanks for joining us.
01:41 And again, we'll have more from him as we go through the upcoming hours.
