01:36 These threats create uncertainty to the functioning
01:42 and survival of our nations.
01:46 No single country alone can address
01:51 the highlighted challenges.
01:54 Within states and societies, there
01:59 is likely to be a persistent and growing
02:06 gap between what people demand and what
02:12 the government and the private sector can deliver.
02:15 Let me thank the Chief of Defense Staff, the Commandant,
02:20 and the College Fraternity for providing the opportunity
02:26 through this symposium to deliberate on security
02:32 challenges threatening the continent.
02:37 I appeal all of us to engage actively
02:42 and prefer practical solutions.
02:46 I wish you a successful symposium.
