00:56 I am very happy that you have come.
01:23 Your visit here, Madam President, my sister,
01:27 builds on the longstanding friendship and historical ties between our two countries and our people.
01:44 Tanzania and Rwanda converge on many things, including culture, language, and trade.
02:07 Our people saw earlier that we are trying to speak Swahili.
02:14 I think there is good progress being made.
02:18 Our government has decided to start teaching Swahili in schools.
02:30 I would like to ask you to help us teach Swahili.
02:55 We like it, we enjoy it, we love it, and it brings people together,
03:03 especially the people of East Africa.
03:11 More importantly, President, we share the desire for rapid progress
03:21 and social and economic transformation.
03:25 We also want to continue working together to advance the East African community
03:34 and deepen regional as well as continental integration.
03:44 Eastern Africa has long been a prosperous gateway to our continent.
03:51 The opportunities are immense, and the people of our countries have the talent and drive to succeed.
04:06 Our responsibility, therefore, is to facilitate and invest in these opportunities
04:15 so that together we can ensure the stability and well-being of our people and our region.
04:27 Thank you very much, President. We are pleased to have you in Rwanda.
04:38 Welcome and welcome home.
04:51 I now ask you all to raise your glasses and join me in a toast to the health of Her Excellency President Samia Soroohasan
