00:00 How did you get started in the business?
00:05 The situation before was that we were operating in a rented premise.
00:09 So we were paying a lot of money in terms of rent, Chigari and Rwawa at the same time.
00:15 So the situation was complicated in terms of having liquidity to pay the rent.
00:22 Very soon we will have our own premises thanks to BPR.
00:28 We started working with BPR in 2017-18.
00:36 But in 2018, I think that is the time we received a loan from BPR to construct our two campuses.
00:46 The campus of Revero in Chigari, the main campus, and the campus of Gisenyi in the Rwawa district.
00:54 In Chigari, on the Revero campus, the construction works are towards the end.
01:05 We are planning that by the end of September, we will be able to shift also from these rented premises of Chichuchiro
01:14 to Revero, which is located also nearby here, 8 minutes from here in the Chichuchiro district.
01:21 BPR has financed the first phase.
01:26 There will be so many phases because the whole investment is around 10 billion US dollars.
01:33 So now probably the first phase will cost around 3 billion.
01:39 So there is still more long-term relationship with the bank because our working relationship has been very good.
01:48 The money we request, we receive it at the right time to continue the work.
01:53 Having constructed those two campuses, it has generated a lot of jobs.
01:59 It has given more resources to the people surrounding the environment where we are constructing.
02:06 If you look at the people who are involved in the construction, they are paid and they are impacting also their respective families.
02:14 So the impact is very big in terms of having enough space where we can accommodate more students
02:21 and do our business freely without having conditions of a landlord,
02:28 where we can do some entrepreneurship and start new activities, new programs.
02:36 Because we have so many programs that are held because of lack of enough space,
02:41 I think this would be a good opportunity for UTB to expand programs,
02:47 but also to enjoy the new blended facilities that we have thanks to BPR loan.
