Single-person households are booming, but suburbs remain dominated by family-oriented homes

For many people the great Australian dream has meant a three or four-bedroom home with a backyard in the suburbs. But the dominance of large, family-oriented homes over other types of housing is worsening the rental crisis for some -- as more and more of us turn to living alone.
