00:29 The students of North Shore High are back and more fetched than ever.
00:32 The iconic 2000s teen comedy Mean Girls is returning to the big screen in January 2024,
00:39 but this time with a mega-musical makeover. Based on the 2017 stage adaptation, the flick
00:44 will feature a brand new cast, along with Tina Fey and Tim Meadows reprising their roles.

00:52 Aside from the splashy song and dance numbers, fans of the Broadway production will enjoy
00:56 appearances from former cast members Renee Rapp and Ashley Park. Only time will tell if this

01:25 Joker - Folie à deux - October 4, 2024

01:33 When it was announced that the sequel to 2019's Joker was going to be a musical,
01:37 many fans were left scratching their heads. Director Todd Phillips is leading the ambitious
01:42 project, with Joaquin Phoenix reprising his Oscar-winning role as the twisted and deviant
01:47 Arthur Fleck.
01:48 "Okay, I think I might understand that you did this to start a movement, to become a symbol?"

02:00 Joining the cast is Lady Gaga as Dr. Harleen Quinzel, aka Harley Quinn. While there is a fair
02:06 bit of mystery surrounding Joker - Folie à deux - moviegoers can definitely anticipate a truly

02:28 Wicked - Part 1 - November 27, 2024
02:32 Perhaps one of the most highly anticipated movie musical adaptations of all time,
02:44 Wicked's journey to the big screen has been years in the making. Rumors of a film version
02:49 of the long-running Broadway show date back to at least the 2010s.
02:52 "There's nothing that can stop you from becoming popular. LAR."
02:57 Nearly ten years later, John M. Chu was announced as the project's director,
03:01 along with Ariana Grande playing Glinda and Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba.
03:06 A few months after the announcements, Chu revealed that the musical would be split into two films,
03:10 with Wicked - Part 1 soaring into theaters in November 2024, and Part 2 the following year.
03:16 The End - TBA 2024
03:24 Little is known about the mysterious and enigmatic 2024 film The End,
03:35 but that's what makes it all the more exciting. Directed by Joshua Oppenheimer,
03:40 the story is about a well-off household hidden away in an underground shelter
03:44 decades after an apocalypse. And yes, it is a musical.
03:47 "The streets are chaos and the outlook is dire. Time for a hero to step into the fire."
03:56 Starring big names like Tilda Swinton and Michael Shannon, the film began filming in
04:00 Ireland in 2023. Although there are no trailers or even an official release date yet,
04:05 rest assured, this is only the beginning of The End.

04:16 Spellbound - TBA 2024
04:18 From one of the co-directors of Shrek, 2024's Spellbound is set to cast some magic upon film
04:30 fans in the upcoming year. This animated flick follows a princess who attempts to put the kibosh
04:35 on a spell that has broken her fair kingdom in two. Songstress and actress Rachel Zegler will
04:40 voice the film's lead. "I feel charming, oh so charming. Disalarming how charming I feel."
04:47 Joining her is an all-star team, including Nicole Kidman, Nathan Lane, Javier Bardem,
04:54 Jennifer Lewis, and Jordan Fisher, just to name a few. At this present time,
04:58 there's no release date set, but we're looking forward to being under its spell.

05:40 Directed by Barry Jenkins, Mufasa - The Lion King is one of Disney's newest musicals set to hit the
05:45 big screen. Predating the events of the 1994 animated flick and its 2019 remake, Mufasa will
05:52 follow the King of Pride Rock in his younger years. "And so, we are all connected in the
05:57 great circle of life." British actor Aaron Pierre is voicing the iconic character, along with the
06:03 trial of the Chicago Seven Star Kelvin Harris Jr. as his brother turned enemy Scar. Just in time for
06:09 the holiday season, this instant family classic will be roaring into theaters on December 20, 2024.
