In this video, you will learn how to create Extrusions in Revit. Extrusions are the most basic form of generic modeling in Revit. Generic modeling as in, user created. You can later define these models as categories in Revit to better organize your model. Extrusions start with a profile you create. This profile must be a fully closed loop and from there you can simply determine how far and in which directions you want to extrude. Extrusions can be drawn on any work plane by setting the work plane prior to drawing the profile.
