00:00 Philippine Coast Guard has announced the arrival of passengers for the new year.
00:06 According to Philippine Coast Guard Public Affairs Assistant Spokesperson, Jerek Giannibanez,
00:11 passengers are expected to be in the most crowded of the new PCG.
00:17 45,000 outbound monitored passengers and 44,000 inbound passengers arrived this Wednesday.
00:25 This Wednesday alone, 74,000 outbound passengers were reported.
00:31 PCG also explained that the main reason for the delay in the travel is the bad weather.
00:37 PCG also emphasized that they are addressing the problems or any shortcomings of the ship,
00:45 ferry or passenger boat.
00:48 In the Coast Guard, our medical teams and the Passenger Assistance Center,
00:52 together with the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary,
00:55 for the purpose of helping check on our passengers,
00:59 to give them advice because there are also people on the spot who go to our ports
01:03 and expect to be able to board immediately,
01:06 meaning they don't plan to return.
01:07 So we are there to give advice, to help with the PPA,
01:11 and other stakeholders. Again, it's a combined effort to help everyone.
