Joe Bonamassa recorded a follow-up to his album Blues Deluxe, titled Blues Deluxe, Vol. 2, for which he covered a handful of his favorite blues classics. 00:09 Hey, this is Joe Bonamassa,
00:11 and we're talking about my album, Blues Deluxe Volume 2.
00:14 One of the songs that we cut was Fleetwood Mac's Lazy Poker Blues.
00:19 I'm a big fan of all things Peter Green,
00:23 especially that nonchalant,
00:26 just like we're just going to wing it and see how it goes.
00:29 It went like this.
00:31 [MUSIC]
00:44 It's a standard blues riff,
00:45 but of course you have to put in the.

00:57 There's so many different variations you can do to it,
01:26 but one of the things that the British guys always used to do,
01:30 to go from the one to the four,
01:31 they would stay up here on the 12th fret.
01:33 [MUSIC]
01:37 They would hit that note, like the major third,
01:39 or they would just go to the tonic of the four,
01:41 which in this case is A,
01:43 then they would start the next set of riffs.
01:44 [MUSIC]
02:00 If you took one of these sunburst Les Pauls,
02:02 plugged it into an early Marshall,
02:04 and set it for stun,
02:06 you'll be well happy with the results.
02:09 In this case, it's a super and it sounds great.
