Storm Gerrit has wreaked havoc on the travel network and left thousands of homes without power, while a "localised tornado" has damaged homes in Greater Manchester.Some ScotRail services are being cancelled, delayed or revised on Thursday morning as flooding and road closures cause further travel chaos. Avanti West Coast services departing from London Euston will have extended journey times as they are diverted via the Midlands.
