02:25 It's new in Adidas golf shoes.
02:27 You might have seen it in running shoes or basketball shoes before.
02:30 But it's different from the boot technology that we've seen in other shoes from Adidas.
02:33 I've got to say I prefer it.
02:34 It's a little bit softer.
02:35 You get a little bit more energy return through the swing.
02:38 And it's made what is a really good lightweight, stable shoe.
02:42 Just that little bit softer and more comfortable.
02:44 I apologise how muddy it is.
02:46 I haven't been wearing it a lot this year.
02:47 I've been really enjoying it.
02:48 It's actually my go-to shoe so far.
02:50 So yeah, really impressive evolution from ZG21 with that brilliant midsole technology.
02:56 And one of the lightest spike shoes you can buy.
02:58 Okay, next up please is, thank you very much, there it is.
03:01 The first spikeless entry into this year's top 11.
03:04 The Puma Ignite Elevate.
03:06 Now this is built on a very, very similar platform to the Ignite Articulate,
03:10 the spike shoe that we saw last year, which I love.
03:12 That was my go-to shoe last winter.
03:14 So it's very similar.
03:16 I really, really enjoyed it because of that.
03:18 You can see it looks very similar.
03:19 I love the chunky outsole, very on trend fashion-wise.
03:23 And this textured upper looks really cool as well.
03:25 And some pops of colour on the outsole.
03:27 So it looks great, but it's also got that fantastic Ignite midsole,
03:31 which is again, very soft, lots of energy return.
03:34 Similar to the Lightstrike we just spoke about in Adidas.
03:37 So I love that.
03:38 The outsole, this is a new one for Puma.
03:40 We haven't seen this on one of their spikeless shoes yet.
03:42 Great in dry conditions, great in damp conditions.
03:45 Wouldn't quite trust it in wet conditions.
03:47 We'll see a couple of shoes later in this video that do have a great spikeless outsole.
03:51 This one isn't quite there for me, but I love how it looks.
03:54 I love how comfortable it is.
03:55 It's just like that Articulate from last year.
03:57 And I love it.
03:58 I think it's one of the best looking.

04:07 This is the True Lynxwear Luxe Hybrid.
04:11 Now, hybrid golf shoes are very popular now.
04:13 The shoe that you can wear on and off the course,
04:15 from the moment you leave your house to the moment you get home again.
04:17 And this for me is the best of 2023.
04:20 You can see how easy that will blend in off the course,
04:22 but it's still fantastic on it.
04:24 That's the sort of thing you need to look out for.
04:26 We've got Nappa leather and a knit material mixture.
04:29 It's 100% waterproof, which is really impressive as well.
04:32 So you can wear it all year round.
04:34 And this rubber spikeless outsole is really impressive.
04:37 You've got a mixture of this sort of sawtooth effect here
04:40 and TPU nubs that make it really effective in damp
04:44 and even wet conditions.
04:45 I've tried it in some pretty naff weather
04:47 and it's really impressed me with grip.
04:50 You've got a Wonder Luxe insert,
04:51 which is True's insert they use in most of their golf shoes.
04:54 Really soft, not as much energy return as perhaps in the Puma we just looked at,
04:58 but still really soft and really comfortable.
05:00 Now, I've tried four True Lynxwear shoes this year
05:03 and I've got to say, really impressed with their range this year.
05:06 This is their range topper for me.
05:07 This is their best of 2023 and one of the best in the market for 2023.
05:11 So yeah, go check it out.

05:16 This is the Painter X004 RS.
05:20 Now, this is an out-and-out performance spike golf shoe.
05:24 If you want to feel really locked in, swing at your absolute fastest,
05:27 gain a little bit of ball speed even, this will be the shoe for you for 2023.
05:31 Let's go to the outsole because that's where all the technology is packed into this shoe.
05:35 For the first time, you've got the brand new Soft Spikes Torflex Pro Spikes.
05:39 Each spike has 10 individual bits of contact with the ground.
05:43 And you've got, what, seven of them plus these TPU nubs as well.
05:47 And you've also got a carbon fiber like we saw in the Footjoy Propulsion Plate
05:52 that sits just under here, which helps you harness those ground energy forces.
05:56 It might sound like a lot, but you can feel it through this shoe.
05:59 This outsole is super impressive.
06:01 And as I said, if you're looking for that out-and-out performance spike shoe
06:05 to help you hit the ball a bit further, this is the one.
06:07 This outsole is why it's really, really impressive.
06:09 It's still really comfortable too.
06:11 I'm really impressed with how soft and sort of malleable this leather upper is.
06:15 It's waterproof as well, but that softness just really adds to how locked in you feel.
06:20 You'd have to try them to kind of get what I'm getting at here,
06:23 but as you can tell, I'm really impressed.
06:25 Finally, a molded heel cup here sort of locks that heel into place.
06:29 So you've got the traction from the ground, the traction from the heel,
06:32 but the softness in this upper, it's fantastic.
06:34 Painter got a really good line-up for this year as well, much like Truelinks,
06:37 where they brought a lot of good new shoes out this year.
06:40 The X004RS is their best spiked one.
06:43 I've tried the X003F, their spiker's one, which has a brilliant outsole on it.
06:47 So if they're not a brand you've heard of before,
06:49 you will have by the end of this video.
06:51 I'm really impressed with this model in particular.
06:53 Right, let's find out what we've got next, please.
06:55 Thank you very much. Here we go.
06:56 It is the Duca del Cosmo Bernardo.
06:59 Now, I mean, one look at this, it oozes class, doesn't it, I think.
07:02 Duca del Cosmo shoes tend to.
07:04 And this, I think, speaking to other members of the Golfing with You team
07:07 who have tested this year, this is the best Duca shoe I think we've tested collectively.
07:10 I'm going to tell you why.
07:12 I mean, the detailing, again, this soft Napa leather they use, all handcrafted.
07:16 You can tell a lot of effort has gone into this shoe.
07:19 And it looks fantastic for it.
07:21 Now, a criticism we had of last year's shoe, the Churchill, was it was a little bit heavy.
07:25 Still, that sort of broke, so it was a bit heavy.
07:27 Duca have really worked on that.
07:28 And this Airplay 6 spiked outsole is one of the best in a spiked shoe I've tested for a long time.
07:33 You've got standard cleats, but also these extra bits here.
07:36 And it's super, super lightweight.
07:38 Again, for a shoe like this, you look at the Premier Series from Foot Joy or the G4 Galavanter.
07:44 That broke, so it can get a bit heavy.
07:46 It's just a really, really lightweight.
07:48 It's a touch firmer underfoot.
07:50 That footbed is a little firmer than some of the shoes I've spoken about already.
07:54 But I've got to say, just the looks and the performance you get from this,
07:57 a real upgrade from Duca.
07:58 Really, really impressed.
08:00 And just look at it.
08:01 I think the Bernardo is one of the best looking for sure at 2023.
08:04 Okay, the best shoes train.
08:06 It keeps rolling. Let's keep going.

08:09 My surprise of the year, the Colt Haan Zero Grand Overtake.
08:13 Absolutely love this shoe.
08:15 I mean, look at it for a start.
08:16 Pretty bold, isn't it?
08:17 Based on a running trainer, I like that look.
08:19 I like the more casual hybrid golf shoe.
08:21 And this is the sort of the best example of it this year, I would say.
08:25 Firstly, super lightweight.
08:27 I said the Adidas was lightweight earlier.
08:29 This, obviously without the spikes, is even more lightweight.
08:31 But despite how lightweight it is, it's really still quite stable.
08:34 You can see in orange here, this sort of heel cut round here,
08:36 stops your foot moving too much from side to side.
08:38 So it's still a performance golf shoe,
08:40 despite looking and sort of feel like a running trainer really.
08:43 The footbed is so soft.
08:46 Right up there with the foot joy for how soft it is.
08:48 So you couple that with how lightweight it is, and it's fantastic.
08:51 Well, come look at the outsole, because that's similarly impressive.
08:54 I wouldn't wear it in wet conditions.
08:56 It's not fully waterproof. It's a summer shoe.
08:58 And this works great. I love the sawtooth effect.
09:00 And it's really low profile.
09:02 So when you do take this onto harder surfaces, off the golf course,
09:05 you don't feel it. You don't feel intruded by it.
09:07 And I love the colourway. Let me know. You might not.
09:10 It looks like a piece of coffee cake to me.

09:17 One of my surprises of the year,
09:18 Cole Haan have got a pretty extensive range of golf shoes, actually.
09:21 Worth going and checking out.
09:22 If this isn't to your style, it is to me. I love it.
09:25 One of the best of 2023.
09:27 Okay, next up we're going to chat about the Echobiome H4.
09:30 Now that might be a name you recognise.
09:32 Well, Echobiome have brought out a newer version for 2023
09:35 that's been redesigned and reworked in a couple of areas.
09:38 So firstly, that toe area has been reworked slightly to be a little bit more sleeker.
09:42 I think it gives it a nicer silhouette from side on versus the old version.
09:46 The tongue has also been completely redesigned to fit a lot sleeker to your foot.
09:50 Very comfortable materials on that.
09:52 But it still features all the things that we loved about it a couple of years ago.
09:56 And what make Echo shoes great, actually, in general.
09:59 It uses Gore-Tex, so it means it's still 100% waterproof, but highly breathable.
10:04 It lets sweat out, but not water in, which is great.
10:07 We loved that on the C4 from last year as well.
10:10 And it also uses Echo's really soft to the touch, premium feeling leathers.
10:14 This really is one of the most premium, spiky shoes of the year, in my opinion.
10:18 The outsole's fantastic too, that mountain grip outsole.
10:21 It's pretty good in the wet, better than some others.
10:24 Better than the Puma, for example.
10:26 But in the dry, in the damp, it's nice and low profile and still gives you plenty of grip.
10:31 Loads of great colorways available.
10:33 So if you're looking for something a little bit more premium, a little bit more stylish,
10:35 and more spiky shoe, I think the new, reworked, redesigned Firem H4 is a great option.
10:40 Okay, next up is the Skechers Go Golf Elite 5 Slipper.
10:44 Now this is a really, really unique one that I think a lot of golfers out there
10:47 will benefit from.
10:49 The key, highlighted technology is that hands-free slipping technology.
10:53 So the sort of back heel part of it, we'll show some video of it now,
10:56 allows your foot to slip in without you having to touch it.
10:59 And you couple that with the TwistFit dial system instead of conventional laces,
11:03 and it's a really easy shoe. You barely have to bend down and touch.
11:06 So something for some golfers to be aware of, something that I think a lot of you will enjoy.
11:11 And it also features, which I have tested in last year's Hyper 5 shoe, ArchFit.
11:16 Now ArchFit technology is throughout the midsole, and basically it raises the arch of your foot
11:21 to spread weight more evenly.
11:24 That means there's less foot fatigue after a round of golf.
11:26 And after trying it last year in the Hyper 5, I was really, really impressed.
11:30 A bit of a weird sensation to start, you feel a bit more lifted off the ground,
11:34 but genuinely reduces foot fatigue.
11:36 So it being featured in the slip-in here is fantastic.
11:38 And as I said, if that hands-free slip-in technology is something you're looking for,
11:42 this is a very unique option. Probably the only one on the market at the minute from Skechers,
11:45 and one definitely worth checking out.
11:47 Right, we're nearly onto my winner for 2023. We've got a couple more to talk about.

11:53 The Under Armour Charged Phantom SL.
11:56 Another unique offering for 2023 that I think a lot of you at home will like.
12:01 You can see it looks very much like a running trainer, like the Cole Haan actually.
12:04 It is based off a running trainer.
12:06 Now, knit uppers. What do we think? Let me know. I really like them.
12:11 They're really lightweight. And thanks to Under Armour's Neverwet technology,
12:14 it's like a spray they put on top of the shoe.
12:16 This is fully waterproof. It might not look like it,
12:19 but you could step into a puddle and no water's getting in.
12:23 So that's really impressive.
12:24 And when you consider how good this outsole is for a spikeless outsole,
12:28 I've spoken about a couple that won't work so great in fully wet conditions.
12:32 This one will. This one is absolutely brilliant in all conditions.
12:36 We've seen it on a couple of Under Armour shoes from last year, and I thought they were great.
12:39 So I'm really happy to see it on this shoe.
12:41 Love the chunky outsole, looks wise, very on trend, and they're super lightweight.
12:45 So I love the looks. That outsole is an absolute highlight.
12:48 And if you want something a bit more casual, they're still pretty unique and really, really comfortable.
12:53 This is a great option this year.
12:54 OK, final shoe we're going to talk about in this video is the G4 MG4+.
12:59 Now, it's not strictly a new shoe for this year, but here at Golfingland we love G4 shoes.
13:03 And there are some new colorways in this one for this year.
13:05 So that's worth a shout out, I think, in the least.
13:08 Now, this is another classic hybrid shoe. You can wear it on and off the course really easily.
13:13 For me, the absolute highlight, this was all G4 shoes because they all feature it,
13:17 is the footbed, the insole that massages your feet.
13:21 How about that? It's got little nubs on the inside.
13:23 So as your foot sort of inches along in the shoe every now and again, you get a little foot massage in that.
13:28 Who wouldn't want that?
13:29 This shoe features it, the MG4 X2 I spoke about last year has it, the Galavanta,
13:34 and they come in some awesome colorways.
13:35 As I said, a couple of new ones this year that we love and just the perfect hybrid shoe.
13:39 That sawtooth outsole you can see gives really great grip all year round, actually.
13:43 It's a slightly more unique offering, but really low profile, great on harder surfaces when you're off the golf course
13:49 and great on it as well in pretty much all conditions.
13:52 So new colorways for this year and that footbed, that insole that massages your foot.
13:56 Who wouldn't want that?
13:57 So the MG4+ an absolute standout for 2023.
14:01 Right, so there we have it. Those were 11 of the best shoes of 2023.
14:06 A lot of variety in there, I think. A lot of different styles, spiked and spiker.
14:10 So I hope there's one in there that you like the look of.

14:46 It's the Footjoy Hyperflex Carbon.
14:48 And the thing that took it over the line for me, because it's very similar to those shoes,
14:51 is that Ortholite Impressions footbed.
14:54 So, so soft. As soon as you take it out of the box and then it molds to your foot,
14:57 it feels fantastic.
14:59 And I think for my winner of 2023, a pretty good looking shoe as well.
