00:17 Sessions Court, Judge Shafira Mohammed Saeed made the decision Tuesday after finding that

00:23 the prosecution had succeeded in establishing a prima facie case against the accused.

00:29 In the dock, the 42-year-old accused chose to testify under oath on the witness stand

00:34 for his defense trial.

00:36 Shafira then set January 12 for mention of the case.

00:41 Azman was charged with two counts of committing physical sexual assault on the teenager at

00:46 a homestay in Kampung Sungai Udang at 12.15am on February 20 and 1am on June 29 last year.

00:56 The charges were framed under Section 14 Bracket (A) of the Sexual Offences Against Children

01:01 Act 2017, which provides for imprisonment not exceeding 20 years and whipping upon conviction.

01:09 The preacher is also facing nine more charges related to sexual crimes he allegedly committed

01:15 against teenage boys in Seremban, Ampang and Shah Alam.
