00:00 According to a royal author, Meghan Markle's book would undoubtedly become a bestseller.
00:08 Since the release of Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, in January 2023, Meghan has remained
00:14 very tight-lipped, leading many royal experts to speculate that she is working on her own
00:21 book as we speak.
00:23 And they have good reason for this, especially considering the success of Prince Harry's
00:30 book.
00:32 Even though many people disagreed with what was said in the book, it still sold, which
00:38 generated millions of dollars in revenue.
00:42 And that's definitely something that Meghan and Harry need right now.
00:47 Royal author Christopher Anderson believes that the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle,
00:51 will capitalize on her current position, especially considering the criticism the royal couple
00:58 is facing right now.
00:59 He shared with Us Weekly Publication his insights, and this is what he had to say,
01:05 "We've seen her perspective with some examples, but I'm sure there's always another
01:10 rabbit to pull out of the hat.
01:12 Some fact that we didn't know to put into a book, I'm sure if she wanted to write
01:16 a book, it would be an enormous bestseller because once again it would contain things
01:22 we don't know yet."
01:24 Christopher Anderson predicts that this might not be too far away, and this is what he added
01:29 to his statements,
01:30 "I would imagine that is probably not in the distant future.
01:34 I think they're going to take advantage of where they are, and she will do something
01:40 like that."
01:41 Also, Meghan Markle has taken a significant step towards reviving her passion project,
01:47 which is her blog called The Tig, which she abandoned when she joined the royal family.
01:53 And after closing it down during her relationship with Prince Harry back in 2017, Meghan Markle
01:58 now plans to relaunch her blog.
02:01 So even if Meghan Markle decides to not release a traditional book, she definitely will be
02:07 writing something, that's for sure.
02:09 And when we look at her recent signing with the renowned talent agency William Morris
02:14 Endeavor, this suggests that Meghan is actively cultivating her personal brand.
02:19 And this is according to Us Weekly's royal commentator, Christine Ross.
02:24 This is what Christine Ross had to say in her own words about this,
02:27 "This just rings to me that The Tig is on its way back.
02:31 This sort of representation helps facilitate brand deals.
02:35 This is definitely a huge step forward in Meghan's brand.
02:38 This is definitely Meghan creating herself as a brand.
02:42 I suspect that The Tig is on its way back to our internet screens."
02:46 After that, Tina Brown's co-host, Christina Garibaldi, chimed in by saying this,
02:52 "The Tig, probably book deals.
02:54 We'll probably see a lot going on with Meghan in the next few months, maybe years."
03:00 Then according to some reports, they say that the royal family is very careful that they
03:07 do not have a repeat of Prince Harry's release of his book Spare that he released in January
03:14 2023.
03:15 In the memoir, Harry shared some insights about life within the royal family after he
03:20 met Meghan and after he stepped down.
03:24 And author Christopher Anderson suggests that the royal family is particularly focused on
03:30 observing Prince George's relationship with his younger siblings, Princess Charlotte and
03:35 Princess Louis.
03:36 These, by the way, are children of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
03:41 And this is what Christopher Anderson had to say about this,
03:44 "The royal family does not want another kid writing a book, another edition of Spare.
03:50 Obviously, Harry was very hurt by being in the shadow of his brother.
03:55 I think they're aware of that."
03:57 Meghan Markle is said to be preparing to publish her own book, which is expected to expose
04:03 all of Prince Harry's areas of weakness.
04:06 So it's said that Meghan Markle is preparing to disclose some details about her husband,
04:12 Prince Harry, all his shortcomings, and various parts of her autobiography.
04:17 It's believed that Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is actively in the process of writing
04:29 said book.
04:31 Similar to Prince Harry's book, which generated considerable controversy around the world,
04:43 but it also generated millions of dollars in sales.
04:57 Following their departure as senior working royals in 2020, the couple relocated to the
05:03 United States, and they now reside in California with their two children, Prince Archie and
05:09 Princess Lilibet.
05:10 Anticipated to be candid and just very open and straightforward and blunt, Meghan's
05:16 account of her life is expected to encompass surprising and secret revelations from her
05:22 marriage.
05:49 Nor has she really shared any of her inner thoughts recently or her views about anything.
05:55 But it definitely is pretty surprising that she's going to be sharing details about
05:59 Prince Harry and his character flaws and failings.
06:03 But Harry already revealed some of those already publicly.
06:07 So what else could Meghan be sharing about Harry?
06:11 And how private and honest and open is she going to get in this book?
06:15 Harry already hinted that he did have some shortcomings himself in his memoir, Spare,
06:26 as well as their Netflix docuseries, expressing remorse for how Meghan was treated during
06:31 their time in the UK and wishing that he could have done more to support her and reassure
06:36 her.
06:37 Prince Harry said this specifically in their Netflix documentary,
06:41 "I was devastated.
06:43 I knew that she was struggling.
06:45 We were both struggling, but I never thought it would get to that stage.
06:49 And the fact that it got to that stage, I felt angry and ashamed."
06:58 And then Prince Harry added this,
07:00 "I didn't deal with it particularly well.
07:03 I dealt with it as institutional Harry, as opposed to husband Harry.
07:09 And what took over my feelings was my royal role.
07:12 I've been trained to worry more about what are people going to think if we don't go to
07:18 this event.
07:19 We're going to be late, and looking back on it now, I hate myself for it."
07:23 There was also this one source that told Bella magazine that
07:27 "Meghan is of the opinion that the moment has arrived to share her perspective with
07:33 the wider public."
07:34 Interesting.
07:36 And this is what the source said specifically about this.
07:39 "Meghan really wants to get her side of the story across, after Harry got the space to
07:45 tell his story so deeply.
07:48 There have been times that Harry has been less than perfect in the marriage, which he
07:54 acknowledges, but no one is perfect."
07:57 So again, it just makes me kind of question how open and honest is she going to get in
08:01 this book?
08:02 What details is she going to reveal?
08:05 And this is definitely something that I know will sell globally all over the world.
08:10 It will earn millions of dollars because I think people just want to know, people are
08:14 that curious.
08:15 Even if they're not fans of Meghan Markle, they're still going to buy the book because
08:19 they bought Prince Harry's book spare.
08:22 We all know how obsessed Meghan Markle is with Princess Diana.
08:25 She views herself pretty much like a Princess Diana 2.0.
08:28 "One of the people that I reached out to, who's continued to be a friend and confidant,
08:32 was one of my husband's mom's best friends, one of Diana's best friends."
08:36 And just like Diana did with her authorized biography, Diana, Her True Story in Her Own
08:41 Words, Meghan could kickstart her own authorized tell-all biography as well.
08:46 The book might delve into her life as an actress, her transition into royal life, and the various
08:52 challenges with the royals, as well as with the media and the public at large.
08:57 "Suffering and feeling trapped, Meghan revealed she surrendered a lot of freedom when joining
09:01 the firm."
09:02 In mid-2023, there were some hints that Meghan might be putting her thoughts on paper as
09:08 part of her and Prince Harry's four-book deal with Penguin Random House.
09:12 And the fact that they have a four-book deal, it's like, okay, well, Meghan's book is,
09:16 it's inevitably coming.
09:18 Meghan has already authored a children's book titled Bench, and that was released in June
09:23 of 2021, while Prince Harry released his own book titled Spare, and that was more like
09:28 a memoir, a biography that shared some insights on his life as well as the royal family.
09:33 "Prince Harry's tell-all memoir, Spare, hits shelves on January 10th."
09:39 And there's some speculation now that the couple is collaborating on a wellness book,
09:43 and Meghan's autobiography is anticipated to be the final piece in their four-book deal.
09:50 There's a Hollywood agent who shared this with the male publication, and this is what
09:54 they had to say.
09:55 "I would find it surprising if Meghan didn't publish her own story, to be honest."
10:00 And they also went on to add, "Spare is clearly Prince Harry's chance to tell his, but hers
10:06 is equally compelling.
10:07 I mean, how many actresses end up marrying a prince?
10:11 If she's harboring political ambitions, it would make even more sense."
10:17 PR expert Matt Yanovsky, he has pointed out that the success of Britney Spears' memoir,
10:24 The Woman in Me, is an example of how well Meghan's book could possibly perform.
10:29 And in a statement, he said, "Britney's book just sold gangbusters without Britney
10:34 doing any press."
10:36 There's likely a big market for another female celebrity's memoir if Meghan will spill the
10:42 beans.
10:43 Is she going to reveal who was the royal racist?
10:46 Is she going to divulge real information?
10:49 That's what it will take for the book to work.
10:52 Meghan of course thinks she's a fancy celebrity, not the glorified reality star that she is.
10:58 Just as she did a documentary instead of a reality show, it's possible she will copy
11:03 Princess Diana and work with an authorized biographer, as Diana sat down for interviews
11:08 in the 90s for a book.
11:10 He then wraps up his statement with this line, "There are many options to make money selling
11:16 out the royals when your name is Meghan."
11:19 And honestly, when I take a look at the past few years, I feel like this is very likely
11:24 to happen.
11:25 Regardless if people dislike the book or not, Meghan Markle is going to make millions from
11:30 the book.
11:31 People will buy it.
11:33 Whether to read it and love it or to criticize it, they're going to buy it.
11:36 It's going to make millions.
11:38 And they definitely don't want to get dropped from their Penguin Random House deal.
11:41 So they're going to want to produce.
11:42 You know, they got dropped from their podcast.
11:44 So it's like, okay, the pressure's on.
11:46 We got to produce.
11:47 We've got four books to do.
11:48 Let's go.
11:49 And here's the interesting thing, too.
11:50 Meghan even said in her and Harry's docuseries on Netflix that she's glad that they could
11:54 finally tell their story from their own perspectives.
11:57 And then, of course, Harry followed up with his book, Spare, and told more of the story
12:01 from his own personal perspective.
12:04 And this wasn't a shared perspective that he had with Meghan as in their docuseries.
12:09 So it seems like a logical conclusion that Meghan may also have other things to say,
12:15 which I'm sure she does, from her own perspective.
12:19 And what better way to do that than put it in a book, especially if you have a deal on
12:24 the table to do so.
