Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayah 243 (Arabic Recitation): “ أَلَمۡ تَرَ إِلَى ٱلَّذِينَ خَرَجُواْ مِن دِيَٰرِهِمۡ وَهُمۡ أُلُوفٌ حَذَرَ ٱلۡمَوۡتِ فَقَالَ لَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ مُوتُواْ ثُمَّ أَحۡيَٰهُمۡۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَذُو فَضۡلٍ عَلَى ٱلنَّاسِ وَلَٰكِنَّ أَكۡثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَشۡكُرُونَ ”
Surah Al-Baqarah, Verse 243 (English Translation): “ Have you not considered those who left their homes in many thousands, fearing death? Allāh said to them, "Die"; then He restored them to life. And Allāh is the possessor of bounty for the people, but most of the people do not show gratitude. ”
Surah Al-Baqarah, Ayat 243 (Urdu Translation): “ کیا تم نے انہیں نہیں دیکھا جو ہزاروں کی تعداد میں تھے اور موت کے ڈر کے مارے اپنے گھروں سے نکل کھڑے ہوئے تھے۔ اللہ تعالیٰ نے انہیں فرمایا مرجاؤ، پھر انہیں زنده کردیا بے شک اللہ تعالیٰ لوگوں پر بڑا فضل واﻻ ہے، لیکن اکثر لوگ ناشکرے ہیں۔ ”
The English translation by Saheeh International and the Urdu translation by Maulana Muhammad Junagarhi, both published by the renowned King Fahd Glorious Qur'an Printing Complex (KFGQPC). Surah Al-Baqarah is the second chapter of the Quran.
