00:00 I fell in love with the original Night Court as a kid and there's this magical

00:05 comedy quality to it that I didn't quite know what it was when I was a kid. I just

00:11 knew that at times my parents would tell me to cover my ears and that made me

00:14 more interested in it. And it just had these hard-hitting moments of comedy and

00:19 then also these beautiful emotional pockets of heart that was very very

00:24 intriguing to me. And that was my hope when we did this version of the show was

00:29 that we can recreate that and sort of build on the framework of the original

00:33 and the idea that you could have all these hilarious cases come in and out of

00:37 the court while creating this workplace family within these walls of a show that

00:42 we all love so much.
