00:02 After this time of waiting for Advent, comes the joyful time of the birth of Christ.
00:09 I think that the biggest initiator of this great joy,
00:13 which we can see Christ in the manger, is St. Francis.
00:19 We also experienced this Advent period as the Francis Building Square.
00:25 It was called the time when children built shops and learned this Francis craft.
00:34 But the shop has an 800-year tradition and St. Francis wanted to bring this joy closer
00:42 so that we could visually see Jesus in the manger,
00:46 see visually what could have happened 2000 years ago.
00:52 Also, in Polish tradition, these shops have a special place.
00:59 In the houses where they are built, in the traditions of Silesia, Kashubia,
01:06 and maybe others, I know them,
01:09 these shops are built by grandfathers, shown to children,
01:15 and the Christmas Eve is experienced at such a shop in Bethlehem.
01:21 We see this joy. Christ was born.
01:24 Many lights, many joys, many moving elements.
01:31 However, I think that the shop also has this dimension of building,
01:40 that is, we think about it throughout Advent.
01:45 We think about putting this shop and this is how St. Francis taught us.
01:52 That is why we also invite you to our churches, Polish churches,
01:57 where this tradition is very, very alive, where such shops are built.
02:04 In the tradition of the monastery hill, here, our sanctuary,
02:11 I think that from the Bernardines, although we do not know such images from the 17th and 18th centuries,
02:20 but when we came here 100 years ago,
02:23 the shops were built as missionaries of the Holy Family.
02:27 We support this tradition of the Holy Family,
02:32 to show this Holy Family.
02:36 And so, in the hill, these shops had different dimensions,
02:41 there were those that were alive during the years 2000 and a little further,
02:50 there were those that were built on the Place of Annunciation.
02:55 And today, modestly, we have returned after the epidemic to our smaller basilica,
03:01 where we present to children, parents, but also to everyone who is experiencing this period of Christmas,
03:08 just such a shop that you can think about, you can think about,
03:12 and listen to and sing carols,
03:15 because they are inseparably related to the period of Christmas.
