00:00 Today is Christmas Eve, we're going to add a little bit of humor to our normal session
00:04 of putting Dr G on the spot and talking about penile augmentation.
00:11 For this week, we're going to discuss what exactly it means by non-surgical means of
00:16 penile augmentation.
00:18 This is by injecting something called the bulking agent.
00:27 As the name suggests, it actually just bulk up the penis itself and it's particularly
00:32 good for the girth enlargement.
00:36 In fact, there are quite a few materials that has been carried out in order to enhance the
00:41 girth itself.
00:43 In the old days, we inject really nasty stuff like silicon and also something like paraffin,
00:50 believe it or not.
00:52 Obviously, all these are foreign bodies and create significant reaction and that cause
00:56 really disfigurement and infections in the penile skin itself.
01:01 In recent years, in 2003, there's several bulking agent that has been used which is
01:08 hyaluronic acid and proacid injection that has been used.
01:15 And all these are either biocompatible or biostimulants.
01:20 For hyaluronic acid, for example, is biocompatible, it's inert in nature and that itself will
01:26 bulk up the penis itself by 2.4 cm.
01:31 And that itself actually has been studied to create significant improvement in people's
01:38 perception of their own penis and also enhance their self-esteem.
01:43 In some study, it even showed that it reduces premature ejaculation.
01:49 There's a small study that look at 283 patients over a period of time and it's realized that
01:55 this bulking agent when you inject it should last about 2 years but some of them up to
02:01 72 weeks and then when you assess them, their partners are significantly happy with that.
02:08 For proacid injection, that itself is biostimulant.
02:13 That itself causes scarring and hopefully that scarring and inflammation will enlarge
02:18 the penis itself.
02:19 And that has significant more side effects such as scarring itself, disfigurement, infection
02:26 and edema.
02:27 So choosing what type of bulking agent is important and remember this is a temporary
02:33 solution and a mere 2.4 cm, for most of us, you probably don't notice it.
02:39 So don't take the risk.
02:41 In fact, most people don't really have small penis syndrome.
02:45 Therefore, bulking it enough is probably not necessary.
02:49 Next week is going to be New Year's Eve and we're going to talk about the big one.
