00:40 Good morning, thank you very much to all of you for the media and
00:54 all our friends who came here in order to support us.
00:58 Thank you for joining this morning in the Manila Bay area.
01:02 We are gathered to inaugurate a new initiative of Israel and
01:08 the friends of Israel in the Philippines, which is called Food Jeepneys,
01:13 Bring Them Home Now.
01:14 Food Jeepneys, Bring Them Home Now campaign.
01:20 Our aim is to raise awareness about the ongoing crisis and
01:24 the urgent need for a swift release of the 129 individuals
01:31 that have been abducted by Hamas terror organization into Gaza since October 7.
01:38 Today we're using jeepneys as canvases to convey the message
01:44 of solidarity with Israel and the half of LIA for the safe return of the abductees.
01:53 You see these jeepneys adorned with canvases displaying the photos
01:59 of the kidnapped individuals and the flags of Israel
02:04 symbolizing the solidarity between our two nations, between Israel and the Philippines.
02:11 The choice of jeepneys is deeply meaningful.
02:15 Jeepneys hold a special place in the hearts of Filipinos,
02:20 representing not only a mode of transportation, but
02:24 a vibrant tapestry of Filipino culture and Philippine history.
02:29 Often referred to as the king of the road in Manila,
02:33 jeepneys are a testament to resilience and
02:36 adaptability of the people, as the Filipinos.
02:43 Just this last Monday on December 18,
02:47 I had the privilege of welcoming Jimmy Pacheco in NIA
02:52 as he returned for a visit back here, back at home.
02:57 Jimmy endured 47 days as a hostage of Hamas in Gaza,
03:03 surviving unimaginable horrors.
03:06 Think about the 129 who are there now for already 76 days.
03:13 His story is just one among many.
03:16 Camille, a true hero, her loyalty and courage in saving her patient under fire
03:23 exemplify the spirit that we admire.
03:26 Both of them are now part of Israel and are becoming integral members
03:32 of the Israeli society and Israeli community.
