Two women spent the night partying with their Uber driver - after inviting him along during the ride over.
Friends Paige Goldstein, 24, and Chantel Wright, 26, were on their way to a DJ set in Cape Town.
Driver Herve Tshiks picked them up and, during the journey, told the pair he was at the end of back-to-back shifts.
Paige and Chantel said they reckoned he needed a break - so told him to come with them.
So Herve did - and the trio ended up having a "great time".
Paige, from Boston, Massachusetts, said: "Our driver was super friendly and we were all chatting for the whole drive.
"He was saying how he is always working - so I said 'you should come with us!'.
"He said he would - and he did!"
Paige and Chantel, who run a travel podcast 'Fill Your Sol', have been travelling for two-and-a-half years.
Paige said they focus on "giving back and connecting to communities" as they travel.
She added that connecting to local people gives you the best experience when visiting a new country.
So they did just that - and made a friend for life in Herve.
The trio are planning to meet up again before the women leave Cape Town.
Paige said: "Something that is cool I've learnt while travelling is you learn to trust your gut on people.
"There's lots of cultural and language differences, but you can tell who is a good person.
"Bringing Herve to the set wasn't planned - it just happened naturally.
"But he had a great time and so did we - it shows small gestures or acts of kindness do go a long way."
