Deadly 6.2 Magnitude Earthquake Rocks China's Gansu Province, Leaving 126 Dead and Over 700 Injured

An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale struck Gansu province in north-west China near the city of Dingxi on Monday night. The earthquake has killed at least 126 people so far and injured over 700 people. The death toll is expected to rise as rescue efforts are still underway. The remote, mountainous region of Gansu, where the earthquake struck, is one of China's poorest regions.
