00:00 And thinking about their Premier League form, it's been a bit patchy in moments and you
00:09 are looking at the likes of Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden to produce their best now every
00:15 week. What's your take on their latest form because it could be raising some question
00:21 marks but then again we have seen City go on these runs just after the new year and
00:26 they just turn into a different beast? Yeah, it's interesting. I think that at the start
00:31 of this little run there was a feeling that they're not playing their best but it's just
00:35 a bit of a dip, they'll come back. I think actually oddly how difficult they find Luton.
00:41 I thought they played well against Luton actually but they found it very difficult. I think
00:45 that was a bit of a surprise to some people and I think the Palace result was a huge surprise.
00:50 I don't think City are playing badly. I certainly don't think they're playing anywhere near
00:55 the best and I think there's a level of they're adapting from last season and they're adapting
01:02 to different type of players. I mean they've got more ball carriers in the team now. I
01:06 think they've definitely lost a level of control without Gunnar Gunn, De Bruyne and at times
01:10 even Rodri obviously in the last periods this season anyway through suspension. So I think
01:15 they do miss that and there is still a bit of adaption. I think they'll be concerned
01:19 that this habit they've recently gained of losing leads late on, that is just completely
01:26 against what you would consider to be Guardiola and what he's brought to this Manchester City
01:31 side but look I think they'll bounce back. I think they'll be better in the second half
01:37 of the season. I mean this is the third season that I have covered Manchester City and it's
01:41 the third season that we get to autumn/winter period and there's a couple of questions of
01:47 they're not looking at their best and anyone who's in the room for that happy flower speech
01:52 that Guardiola made in February, start of February last year, won't forget that and
01:57 then what City went on to do after that was incredible. So there's still a long period
02:02 of time. They need to improve things. They need to improve defensively. They've given
02:05 away too many cheap goals. They're not creating enough chances and they're not scoring enough
02:08 chances. That's an issue and they don't have the same control over games but you always
02:11 feel Guardiola, you'll relish this. For a change, suddenly it's not going to plan and
02:17 right I've got to work all this out. How do I put all the pieces together and make it
02:20 all fit and I still firmly believe City will win the Premier League. I wouldn't be surprised
02:26 if they go on and win the Champions League as well. It wouldn't surprise me if we're
02:30 sitting here chatting in May about what another incredible season it's been for City but they
02:34 certainly do at the moment need to improve.
