08:24 Like many Filipinos, Ms. Mila's video recording is to relieve stress.
08:29 That's why whenever there's an opportunity, she really sings.
08:33 She only tells her children not to get carried away with the song, especially when the night is deep.
08:39 Before 10, they will finish.
08:42 You tell them?
08:43 Yes, to them.
08:44 If they don't finish 10, you will?
08:47 I will be the one to kill.
08:48 You will?
08:49 I will be the one to kill so that the neighbors won't be noisy.
08:53 Ms. Mila's neighbor understood the happiness of her neighbor, especially now that it's Christmas.
08:59 Until 10, it's just right.
09:03 If it's too much?
09:06 It's not allowed.
09:08 Or it will disturb the neighbors.
09:11 According to the Purok leader of Area 9 of Barangay Pasong Tomoqueson City,
09:15 many of the residents are saying that they are not drunk and don't want to sing.
09:22 When you're drunk, it's hard to get used to it.
09:24 It's annoying because it's getting stronger.
09:27 So what we do is we call the barangay so that the barangay will be the one to get used to it.
09:34 In Barangay Matandang Balara, every year, the incidence of those who don't want to sing in video games is decreasing
09:40 after 10 p.m.
09:42 Their public address system is the same.
09:46 Our tradition is that video games are only allowed until 10 p.m.
09:53 That's why in our neighborhood, no one is playing video games,
09:57 even in places where many people are willing to sing.
10:01 What's good about this is that when the Purok or our volunteers complain to the neighbors,
10:10 they immediately respond.
10:12 The LGUs have different ordinances in the use of video games, karaoke, and other loud devices.
10:20 Most of them are only allowed until 10 p.m.
10:22 During the pandemic, some cities also banned video games from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
10:29 so that those who are in online classes will not be affected.
10:32 In Camara, in 2016, a panel discussed the anti-late-night video game bill of the 17th Congress.
10:41 But there was no new panel discussion on this.
10:44 Ian Cruz is reporting for GMA Integrated News.
10:55 The ordinances in each place are different on how long video games should be allowed.
11:01 What is the ideal time for the neighbors not to be disturbed?
11:05 We asked the netizens what they think about this.
11:09 The limit for video games should be only 10 p.m.
11:14 So that those who wake up early can rest and sleep longer,
11:19 especially now that it's the night of the worship service.
11:21 We don't want everyone to hear the voices.
11:24 Peter Cesar said that it's only until 9 p.m. if it's an ordinary day.
11:30 But it should be early if it's Christmas and New Year.
11:34 But for Joey Soriano, whether there's an occasion or not, it should be only until 9 p.m.
11:40 Others want to sleep early.
11:44 Romulo Mendonez suggested that it should be until 4 a.m. if it's Christmas and New Year.
11:51 But if it's just a normal day, it should be until 11 p.m.
11:55 That's a bit late.
11:56 My fellow viewers, join us in our online discussion on various issues.
11:59 If you want to share your stories, PM on the Facebook page of Balitang Hali.
12:05 President Bongbong Marcos has returned to the country after attending the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit.
12:12 Before that, one of the meetings between the President and Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio
12:19 was the quick-setting of the Reciprocal Access Agreement.
12:23 According to the President, the RAA is a big help to the Philippines.
12:27 The President said that the benefits of the RAA are the same as the Visiting Forces Agreement of the Philippines and America.
12:36 Aside from Japan, the President also encouraged the strengthening of the Philippine alliance with other countries in the Indo-Pacific region.
12:44 The President also encouraged the Japanese negotiators to move to the Philippines.
12:50 The President has returned the promised investments worth Php 14.5 billion.
12:58 Retirement of OFWs is one of the government's preparations.
13:04 According to the Department of Migrant Workers, there are millions of OFWs who will retire before 2040.
13:10 We have a report from Cedric Castillo.
13:12 In his 30 years as an OFW, he has already worked abroad.
13:23 But now, he is about to become a senior citizen.
13:26 He also said that he is on vacation.
13:29 When I applied here locally, it was hard to find a job.
13:34 Yes, because you are overqualified.
13:38 The older OFWs who are returning home are just at home.
13:46 According to DOLE, in accordance with Republic Act 10911 or Anti-Age Discrimination Law,
13:53 the age and ability should be the basis for applying to applicants.
14:00 There should be equal employment opportunities in all our recruitment practices.
14:07 According to the Department of Migrant Workers or DMW,
14:11 the transfer of OFWs who will retire should be prepared.
14:17 By 2040, many retiring overseas Filipino workers will return home.
14:25 Up to now, there was a boom in our deployment.
14:30 They have been going out in millions.
14:33 We have to be ready when they start coming in.
14:36 DMW has already prepared programs for OFWs who are planning to retire.
14:43 This includes managing the hard-earned income and finding skills.
14:50 If you are a very good domestic worker, you can be a very good hotel manager.
14:56 If you are a good domestic worker, you can cook well, you can do commercial cooking, you can do culinary arts.
15:02 If you are good at taking care of the family, you can do caregiving.
15:05 Eventually, you can graduate into more professional healthcare occupations.
15:13 Cedric Castillo reporting for GMA Integrated News.
15:17 Here is the breaking news.
15:21 The shooting in Barangay 142, Balutondo in Manila was investigated last night.
15:27 The victim was a man on the spot in San Pedro Street.
15:31 According to the barangay, the gunman was a possible motorcycle thief.
15:34 The victim was also from Balut, but from a different barangay.
15:38 The barangay refused to give an explanation regarding the incident.
15:42 In Tuba, Benguet, one person was killed after the three cars collided.
15:49 Based on the investigation, a van lost its brakes, so it crashed into a colliding SUV and pickup.
15:56 14 people were injured in the van.
15:59 The victim was not yet identified while his family did not know what happened.
16:04 The investigation is ongoing.
16:06 For those who will be choosing, let's talk about tips on how to buy meat safely during this time of emergency.
16:17 That's right.
16:18 Joining us for the latest news is National Meat Inspection Service Deputy Executive Director, Dr. Roberto Umali.
16:23 Good morning and welcome to the latest news.
16:26 Good morning.
16:27 How is the NMIS monitoring during this holiday season for those who sell hot meat?
16:37 Is the number of butchered meat increasing?
16:39 Dr. Roberto?
16:48 Alright. We will just go back to the NMIS regarding butchered meat that is caught in the market and mixed with processed meat.
17:00 That's important because there are a lot of people buying meat.
17:03 Mr. Umali, are you on the line?
17:05 Good morning to all of us.
17:09 Good afternoon again.
17:12 We were just asking earlier how is the NMIS monitoring during this holiday season for those who sell hot meat?
17:18 Is the number of butchered meat increasing?
17:20 The monitoring and surveillance of the National Meat Inspection Service is continuous in our public and private markets, including our supermarkets.
17:30 With the participation and support of the Department of Agriculture, Inspectorate and Enforcement,
17:35 plus our support coming from the local government units.
17:40 Our team is continuously monitoring and surveilling to ensure that the meat we sell in our markets and supermarkets are safe
17:54 and in the right positions of the veterinarians and inspectors.
17:58 Is the number of butchered meat sellers increasing?
18:03 There are instances where the National Meat Inspection Service and the local government units are still catching the meat.
18:10 That's why we should monitor our markets and supermarkets regularly, monthly or daily, even during Christmas.
18:21 We should ensure that the meat we eat is inspected by our government inspectors.
18:30 How can we quickly determine if the meat is fresh or not?
18:34 First, as a consumer, we should always remember our permit issued by the veterinarian and inspectors from poultry or slaughterhouse.
18:44 This is the meat inspection certificate that we should use for the proper inspection.
18:48 At the same time, it should be issued to accredited by the National Meat Inspection Service and the local government units.
18:55 The inspection should be done by the local government units.
19:00 At the same time, there should be permits issued by the inspectors and veterinarians.
19:04 So we should ask where the permits are issued from?
19:07 Yes.
19:08 Daily operations, every slaughterhouse should be given free of charge to our customers like our butchers.
19:20 This should be included in our stalls, meat stalls and even our supermarkets.
19:27 Dr. O'Malley, I can imagine your head hurts, especially when processed food is mixed with butchered meat.
19:35 What we want to know is how we can determine if the butchered meat is mixed with processed food.
19:44 This is the difficult part of the role of NMIS, especially processed products under the jurisdiction of the Food and Drug Administration.
19:54 That is why we always tell our processors and our businessmen to only click on the permits issued by the National Meat Inspection Service before using it for processed products.
20:10 Okay. But is there a way to identify if the meat is mixed with processed food?
20:13 This is also for our customers who are worried that they might buy meat that is mixed with butchered meat.
20:19 Does it have a smell or a look that we should be able to see?
20:23 For fresh meat, the normal color of a pork is pinkish grayish.
20:30 For double dead, we can see that it is pale.
20:36 Usually, to reduce the lifespan of the meat, it is sometimes dipped in ice.
20:42 Likewise, the smell of the product. So definitely, if there is a smell of a meat or product, it means that the bacteria are multiplying.
20:54 These observations should not be bought by our customers.
20:59 All right. Thank you very much for your guidance to us, Dr. Roberto Umali of the National Meat Inspection Service.
21:05 Thank you, sir.
21:06 Thank you very much.

22:20 [Intro music]
22:29 The rainfall advisory in some parts of Luzon is high.
22:33 According to the forecast, the aurora is affected by heavy rain.
22:36 Light to moderate rains in Cagayan, Isabela, Calinga, Apayaw, and some parts of Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Mountain Province, and Ifugao.
22:46 Residents are being alerted from the risk of floods or landslides.
22:51 The rain in the aforementioned areas is affected by the wind and shear line.
22:56 Aside from the aforementioned weather system, the low-pressure area of the former Bagyong Kabayan is also continuously raining in some parts of the country.
23:03 The LPA's last hope is 290 kilometers west-southwest of Zamboanga City.
23:10 The chance of the LPA's re-emergence is low.
23:13 The Philippine Area of Responsibility is expecting this to happen in two or three days.
23:19 The entire Mimaropa Region, Visayas, and Mindanao will experience rain in the next few hours.
23:26 Heavy to intense rains in some areas may lead to floods or landslides.
23:31 Other parts of Luzon will also be affected, including Metro Manila, based on the rainfall forecast of Metro Weather.
23:38 Meanwhile, the water in Angat and Ipo Reservoirs is continuously running out.
23:43 Three gates are open in the aforementioned dams.
23:46 Despite that, the water levels are still higher than yesterday, according to the forecast.
23:52 The water levels in Lamesa, Ambuklao, Binga, Sandroque, Pantabangan, Magat, and Caliraya are also decreasing.
24:02 Now, it's the holiday rush season. The arrival of the passengers of the Paranaque Integrated Terminal Exchange or PITX is expected.
24:09 We are joined by the head of Corporate Affairs and Government Relations of PITX, Jason Salvador.
24:15 Good morning and welcome to the Balitang Hali.
24:18 Good morning Sir Raffy, Ma'am Connie. Good morning to all of you, to our viewers.
24:24 Good morning, sir. How are you preparing for this holiday rush?
24:27 Do you feel the presence of our passengers?
24:31 Yes, Ma'am Connie. We are well prepared for the upcoming Christmas and New Year.
24:37 We can already feel the increase in the number of passengers.
24:41 As per our perception, from December 15 to January 3, 2.6 million passengers will pass through PITX.
24:49 That's why we are here to support this challenge.
24:53 I can imagine that on Friday, the upcoming weekend, we will have a lot of people returning home.
25:01 Especially, do we have any problems that we are facing now?
25:07 So that our passengers who are supposed to travel there, they can still travel by that time.
25:14 Maybe you are just fixing it for now.
25:17 Yes, we are not experiencing any problems.
25:21 It's just that it's too early. After the Christmas rush, Ma'am Connie, we already prepared for it.
25:26 That's one of the things we already tried.
25:28 We are sure that we have enough passengers to buy a vehicle.
25:33 That's why as early as November, we already talked to our transport operators for additional units.
25:38 We also talked to our regulators, like DOTR and LTFRB, so they can give special permits.
25:45 Like here, Ma'am Connie and Sir Raffy, LTFRB will have their own offices right on the ground here in PITX.
25:52 So that if additional units are needed, right there and then, they can give special permits.
25:57 All of this is laid out and they will set up help desks here so that our countrymen can also travel.
26:03 Has the bus fare increased this holiday season?
26:07 And those who will walk-in, you haven't bought a ticket beforehand. Is it still allowed?
26:12 The price is not increased. That's what we are monitoring.
26:15 We are working with DOTR, LTO and LTFRB to make sure that our passengers won't be burdened.
26:21 We know that there are a lot of expenses.
26:23 So we are making sure that there will be no additional price.
26:26 As for walk-ins, there are still some.
26:28 But of course, we are advising Sir Raffy to do advance booking.
26:32 They should buy a ticket early because at the last minute, we will have a little waiting, a little queuing and a little tightness.
26:38 How are you checking the security of the passengers?
26:42 Are there additional security measures that you are implementing to prepare our passengers for entering PITX?
26:47 Yes Sir Raffy. That's what we are implementing here.
26:50 Even if it's not a holiday season, our security is tight here.
26:54 Even if they just entered, we have metal detectors there and we are checking our security personnel one by one.
27:01 We also have K-9s bombs here to make sure that no one can enter and you're not properly equipped.
27:07 Aside from this, we have PNP bombs around the clock, 24/7.
27:12 Aside from that, we added on security, plainclothes, so that they can move around safely and we can make sure that our passengers will be safe and sound.
27:22 Are the fireworks prohibited?
27:24 No Sir Raffy. You know that pyrotechnics, when it's heated, there's a possibility of a fire and a create of a fire.
27:32 We are not prohibiting that, along with smart things, and weapons that can be used.
27:38 Of course, the things that have a foul smell because it's very uncomfortable for our passengers who are traveling.
27:44 They will be trapped in a public vehicle with air-conditioning that has a foul smell.
27:49 We are not allowing that.
27:51 I just want to ask, is there anything that will change in your schedule for the upcoming Christmas and New Year?
27:59 Will everyone still be traveling?
28:02 Yes. There's nothing that will change.
28:04 PITX will remain open. Christmas and New Year, all holidays will be open.
28:10 But if that's the case, our trips might be reduced when the Easter is here.
28:16 Because our transport workers will celebrate.
28:19 But when the 25th comes, it will be back to normal.
28:22 It's the same for the New Year.
28:23 When the Easter comes, it might be delayed.
28:26 But January 1, we will go straight back to normal.
28:29 Where can we see you? Do you have a website for the travelers so that they won't be surprised that there are no travelers in their provinces?
28:38 Yes, Ma'am Connie. They can check that out on our website, on our social media pages.
28:43 We have a Facebook page, Twitter, and we also have a TikTok for our passengers to add to their knowledge.
28:50 TikTok. Thank you very much, Mr. Jason Salvador of PITX. Thank you, sir.
28:55 Thank you, too. Take care, everyone.
28:57 Good job, the Filipino athletes in their sporting events in Malaysia.

29:46 The Philippines won the Ultimate Masters Team in the 1510 score against Singapore Mambo.
29:52 Ultimate is what we call the Frisbee competition.
29:55 Good job and congratulations to your winner.

30:43 I'm such an adrenaline junkie. I was like, "I want to be on that show."

30:52 I'm so excited for my role.
30:55 She's looking forward to it.

32:10 Although the former tropical storm, Kabayan, is now becoming an LPA,

32:27 The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration welcomed some OFWs who returned home this Christmas.
32:35 And we have on the spot Mackie Pulido. Mackie?
32:39 You know Rafi, because there are people who are saddened by the experience of working abroad,
32:45 OFWs from the Middle East usually welcome their fellow OFWs at the airport every Christmas.
32:50 The welcome this year started yesterday.
32:53 According to OFWs, almost all the flights that many OFWs ride, usually from the Middle East, are welcomed at the airport.
33:02 When the Chug was released, the choir was singing, the OAS staff and staff of some private companies received OFWs' gift packs.
33:11 Some OFWs, especially distressed OFWs who need to be repatriated, were brought to the holding area.
33:18 There, there was a raffle. There's a cash prize of P10,000 to P50,000.
33:24 Many of the distressed OFWs received P10,000 cash prize.
33:29 According to Arnel Ignacio, the deputy director of OAS, many OFWs haven't celebrated Christmas in the Philippines for a long time.
33:36 That's why OAS wants that after the airplane is released, they can feel the Christmas spirit. Rafi?
33:43 Thank you very much Mackie Pulido.
33:45 Passengers arriving at Manila North Harbor Terminal are continuing their return to normal operation today.
33:52 Let's talk about the situation there in the on the spot coverage of Chino Gaston.
33:56 Chino!
33:59 You're right Rafi.
34:01 Four ships of a passenger ship company have left the port because of the bad weather of the recent typhoons.
34:10 Back to normal operations here at Manila North Harbor Terminal after the Philippine Coast Guard returned the no-sail order last night due to the weather in Mindanao and Visayas.
34:21 More than 5,000 passengers were unable to leave the port of the four large passenger ships.
34:26 They also left last night.
34:28 As of now, passengers arriving at Iloilo and Bacolod shipyards without a license plate are the ones you can see behind me.
34:39 The problem here is that their shipyards are stuck in Visayas due to the no-sail order policy.
34:48 They are waiting for the order to be delivered.
34:51 The order was supposed to arrive at 2 p.m.
34:55 According to the Philippine Coast Guard, more than 20,000 passengers were monitored to leave the country after the operations to return the storm signals in Visayas and Mindanao.
35:08 The PCG and all its personnel remained on heightened alert in the port until January 3, when many were expected to return to Metro Manila from vacation in the provinces.
35:21 Rafi, the problem is that since the ships' trip was delayed by one day, it has a domino effect on the scheduled trips in the coming days.
35:31 That is why the PCG's advice to passengers who are traveling, while Christmas is approaching, check the shipping company or the passenger company of your ships
35:43 to know if the schedules were postponed or changed in the coming days.
35:49 Rafi, thank you very much.
35:59 Are your vegetables ready for the preparation?

36:10 Connie, the price of vegetables is fluctuating.

36:32 The ceyote also rose to P25 to P70 per kilo, while P25 to P60 per kilo last week.

36:57 There is no change in the price of potatoes from P110 to P200 per kilo.
37:04 Some vegetables are also rising, like the bitter melon, to P60 to P120 per kilo, while last week it was P70 to P120 per kilo.
37:15 The price of string beans also dropped to P60 to P190, while last week it was P70 to P150 per kilo.
37:23 The price of Tagalog is P40 to P120 per kilo last week, now it's P50 to P100 per kilo, while the eggplant is P75 to P130 per kilo,
37:33 while now it's P75 to P120 per kilo.

37:42 For those looking for job opportunities abroad, that's just right because Canada and Japan need skilled workers.
37:51 According to the Department of Migrant Workers, the government is hoping that in Saskatchewan, Canada,
37:56 the agreement for recruiting Filipino workers will be signed next year.
38:01 While Nova Scotia is still in Canada, 300 Filipino nurses will be recruited every year.
38:07 Japan is also interested in hiring Filipino skilled workers, according to the TESDA.
38:12 This includes welders, agriculture, hospitality, manufacturing and care industry.
38:18 But the DMW has a plan. Be careful of illegal recruiters and don't just follow the jobs you see on social media.
38:26 For more information on jobs abroad, visit the website of the DMW and go to the approved job orders section.
38:34 Mga Mare, here is the cast of the horror thriller film "Nakampon" in their premiere night last night.
38:48 The cast of the film was played by actresses Beauty Gonzales and Derek Ramsey.
38:53 Zeyna Barraque was also there, and the actress who just finished "The Missing Husband" was played by Kai Cortez.
38:59 Real life partners, friends and family of Beauty and Derek are also in full support.
39:04 Derek is happy that he's back on the big screen.
39:08 Beauty is an emotional stolen life star when she watched her first ever MMFF movie.
39:16 It's not only a horror film. I'm very proud of it because not only you get scared, but it's also an artsy and napakaganda ng pelikula talaga.
