00:01 The Brother's Son is an action family drama show.

00:08 One brother stayed in LA and was naive to the whole family business.

00:23 It was really a show about Asian immigrant families.

00:27 And I said, "Oh, that's a world unexplored both by me and on television."

00:31 Michelle Yeoh plays Mama's son.

00:34 She is an icon, an Oscar winner.

00:37 She's the most talented actress.

00:40 What I love about the series is it's got so much humor in it.

00:46 I think that most astounding thing was watching her nurture and mentor our really young cast.

00:53 I really enjoyed being part of this group of amazing young actors.

01:02 He just exudes this great energy and he brought that to Bruce.

01:13 Justin, who plays Charles' son, he's incredibly handsome, incredibly fit,

01:18 and has a seriousness about his craft that you don't usually see with young actors.

01:24 We needed someone who had a deep connection to their vulnerability,

01:27 but also could punch stuff and look cool.

01:29 Our show is very uniquely itself.

01:34 We have amazing action set pieces.

01:36 Fight sequences, including the ones that get pretty violent,

01:44 had to have a little bit of a wink to them.

01:49 We're in the middle of a beating.

01:50 I just gotta catch my breath.

01:52 Sometimes two or three winks.

01:54 Food porn is important to this show.

02:00 A good portion of the meals are based around traditional Chinese dishes,

02:08 family style at home, or the formal gourmet type meal.

02:11 If anybody makes it through episode four without wanting some duck, I'll be shocked.

02:17 This show is entertaining and I want people to leave feeling, "I was entertained."

02:21 This story is an incredible, crazy-ass ride.

02:25 I think the Asian American experience, it's not just the hard and emotionally taxing.
