00:03 That led us into some of the night slate here with some somewhat competitive matchups. I mean,
00:09 this one, you know, took a lot of fanfare. UCLA and Boise State, 35-22. That was the Bruins on top
00:18 as six and a half point favorites. So the Pac-12 over the Mountain West here. They win, they cover,
00:25 the game goes over the closing total of 48. Take anything away from the Los Angeles Bowl on
00:31 Saturday, Mark. Yeah, I was on the wrong side of this one. For a half, I thought I was going to be
00:36 on the right side. Boise State jumps out to a 16-7 lead at halftime. And then UCLA made a quarterback
00:44 switch in the game. And it was everything. And it changed the outcome of the game because
00:50 Ethan Garbers didn't start the game for UCLA. Apparently, he was supposed to the whole week,
00:56 but didn't. And they went to Colin Schley, who is, I think, a freshman. And when he was in the
01:05 game the first half, it just was not working for UCLA. So Chip Kelly makes the quarterback switch.
01:10 And what happens in the third quarter? Well, UCLA comes out, scores a touchdown. Boise State goes
01:14 three and out. UCLA scores another touchdown. Boise State goes six and out. UCLA scores another
01:18 touchdown. It was 16-7, evaporated to a 28-16 hole with me getting four and a half and praying that
01:27 there was a touchdown involved. Even at that with 16, I kind of felt I was in a bad spot because
01:32 16 and 7 is 23. So I still would have been losing by a hook at 28-23. I needed sort of two scores,
01:39 unless they went for two, of course, which they may have done just because
01:43 try to get it to within a field goal game. But regardless of all that, UCLA just did the flood
01:50 gates opened. And Boise didn't score until there was five minutes left in the game when it was way
01:53 out of hand. So UCLA showed up for a game. Boise State played great in the first half. They just
01:58 couldn't do anything in the second half and it killed them.
02:01 Absolutely. And to your point, I mean, 28-6, that was the Bruins in the second half
02:08 en route to the 35-22 win, covering the six and a half, the closing line there. UCLA, winners of the
02:16 LA Bowl.
