00:00 What was the reason you chose to use the title "Tinanggan yung Pedyo"?
00:03 First of all, I volunteered for Bosvic's "Low Income Project"
00:10 Because way back in 2019, I wasn't the original director, right?
00:16 There were others, and it didn't go well.
00:19 Then in a meeting, Bosvic told me that it didn't go well, so I volunteered.
00:27 Because, this might come as a surprise to people who are aware of the film I'm making,
00:32 but this is really the kind of film I want to make.
00:36 I'm kind of familiar with romance, right?
00:40 So, my romance is more of...
00:44 That's my job, right?
00:48 And I have learned to love the genre of romance.
00:52 But if I were to choose, I would make a whole movie about the world.
00:57 I'm at home with fantasy, sci-fi, horror, whatever you want to call it.
01:03 So, I grabbed the opportunity.
01:09 And, what made you choose the title?
01:16 Because it's been a decade, or more than a decade, since the last Pedyo movie.
01:25 And I want to share my Pedyo with the new generation, the Gen Z.
01:32 So, I just want to...
01:37 The title is simple, it's easy to hashtag, it's easy to print on a t-shirt, on a poster.
01:45 So, I feel like it's appropriate to just call it Pedyo, as a way of reintroducing Pedyo to the new generation.
01:53 Yes, because the Gen Z don't really know Pedyo.
01:57 So, it's just Pedyo.
01:59 This is just a little bit, I want to add, to Mateo and Carly.
02:05 Because, as Mario said, I think Mateo is the most buff Pedyo.
02:13 From the beginning, even in the trailer, their sexiness is really showing.
02:19 Is it intentional?
02:21 If he's young, he's already handsome.
02:24 But, Carly is still sexy.
02:27 Carly, we watch most of her films, she's really sexy.
02:32 But this time, we can see her with kids.
02:35 Even Mateo, he's still revealing his sexiness.
02:41 He's still sexy.
02:43 So, is it intentional to show that he's sexy?
02:48 The kids, the kids.
02:50 I think the sexiness is because they're really sexy.
02:54 Yes, it's not like, "Hey, let's get them!"
02:57 It's not like we're just showing them because they're sexy.
03:00 Because it's supposed to be a family movie.
03:03 It's intentional to show that they're sexy.
03:06 But, it's not like we're just sexualizing them to attract more viewers.
03:14 It's not like that.
03:16 So, it's like other superhero movies from the US.
03:20 Captain America, Thor, they're buff and sometimes sexy.
03:26 Who's Scarlett Johansson?
03:30 Black Widow.
03:32 Black Widow, they're sexy even without revealing much.
03:36 So, it's just a guess.
03:38 Very accurate guess.
03:40 Because there are post-hoc reviews.
03:43 I beg to disagree that most of my films are sexy.
03:48 If you watch my recent films, I did one last year with director Jason Molaxamhana,
03:55 Baby Boy, Baby Girl, the number one on Amazon Prime,
03:58 which had no sexy scenes at all.
04:01 But you're still sexy.
04:03 Sometimes it's not my fault anymore.
04:06 Maybe it's just your perception or something.
04:09 But, I don't know.
04:14 I don't try to be sexy or anything.
04:16 I guess that's just...
04:18 It's just natural.
04:21 I don't try to be anything more than I am.
04:24 I feel like whoever wears this costume is also sexy.
04:30 And I feel like, in terms of personality, it's sexy.
04:33 Not just in the clothes, not just in the way you show your body.
04:37 It's the way you talk, it's the way you carry yourself.
04:40 And Leeway, she's not that sexy.
04:44 I feel like she doesn't know that she's beautiful, but she's strong.
04:48 She's strong-willed.
04:51 She fights for something.
04:53 She holds the team together.
04:55 She believes in Pedro.
04:57 For me, she's like a group of women who can't just fight for men.
05:05 There are women who can excel in different forms of martial arts.
05:11 I'm a valedictorian in our class.
05:13 So, it's a representation that women can be strong.
05:18 Even though I look like this,
05:20 I'm trying to be sexy.
05:27 I feel like I'm more than that.
05:29 Thank you.
05:30 Thank you, Leeway.
05:32 I agree with you.
05:35 Even in a wholesome way, you still show that you're sexy.
05:42 It's not a compliment when you say you're sexy.
05:47 I guess even if I'm going to share your genes,
05:50 you would still call me a...
05:54 I would take it as a compliment,
05:56 but at the same time, I don't want them to define me.
05:59 I don't want to be...
06:00 Who is Kylie?
06:02 I don't want to be sexy.
06:04 I want to be a good actress,
06:07 a good friend,
06:09 a good daughter,
06:10 a good person.
06:12 After that, I see better dreams.
06:15 Of course, I have a lot of dreams.
06:17 This is a personal question.
06:20 Okay, thank you.
06:21 Thank you, but...
06:26 Sometimes, I don't know what to say.
06:29 But thank you.
06:31 I appreciate that.
06:33 Okay.
06:34 And also,
06:35 Mario said that you're the most buff girl in the world.
06:41 And you're still sexy when you're young.
06:45 Sorry, I don't have a sense of smell.
06:48 That's my impression.
06:50 I'm sexy.
06:51 I'm Zang Biu.
06:52 I'm Mico.
06:53 I'm Mico.
06:54 Yeah.
06:55 Now, kidding aside,
06:58 I think the role of Duko was a very physical character.
07:04 Like Happy, Drake Paul, Jason Paul, and Samana.
07:07 I'm just kidding.
07:09 Drake Paul, Jason Paul, and Samana.
07:11 He's a countryside.
07:12 He's a hard worker to begin with.
07:14 He worked for his father.
07:15 He's a hard worker.
07:16 All of his jobs are very physical.
07:18 So, we have to prepare for the movie.
07:21 We have to be physically fit for the role.
07:26 But specifically,
07:27 the bodybuilder is not physically fit.
07:31 He's an everyday worker.
07:33 And he likes martial arts.
07:35 He likes jumping.
07:36 He's hyper.
07:37 So, he has to be resonated with his physical aspect.
07:43 Did you train for the artist?
07:45 Did you really train for this film?
07:47 Yes, we actually trained for the artist four years ago
07:51 when this was passed on to me from James Reid,
07:55 original Geneva.
07:56 So, Jason also.
07:58 We started training already.
08:00 I was very excited four years ago.
08:02 I was very excited to start the movie four years ago.
08:05 But there were many factors.
08:07 The pandemic, the media, everything.
08:09 So, we were training.
08:11 I believe this past four years,
08:13 this made me ready for today.
08:15 I went to Ranger.
08:17 We were there as artists.
08:18 And everything.
08:19 So, I think, I believe it prepared me for
08:22 direct Jason Paul's movie.
08:24 Last one.
08:25 Matheus, what's your Christmas wish?
08:29 Because you're busy with the promo of "Tinduko."
08:33 And what's your Christmas wish with your MFF movie?
08:41 I hope that on December 25,
08:43 we'll all be together in the cinema.
08:45 We'll all be together.
08:46 So, I love you guys.
08:47 I just want to say that on December 25,
08:49 I hope we'll be in the cinema.
08:51 With Pedro Guido.
08:54 I hope you'll all be together.
08:56 I hope we'll see each other.
08:57 But you said you're not going to be there.
08:58 So, is this Christmas?
09:00 Yes, because this is my first MFF.
09:02 So, this is my first time doing the parade.
09:12 I'm going to do the parade for the first time.
09:14 So, I'm very excited.
09:15 Before, I only saw it on TV, Instagram, and Facebook.
09:18 Now, it's just us.
09:19 We're the ones throwing t-shirts up.
09:21 So, it's very exciting.
09:23 On December 25,
09:25 we're going to be focusing on promoting the movie
09:27 and all around.
09:28 Okay, good luck.
09:29 Thank you.
09:30 Thank you so much, TV boards.
09:34 Thank you.
09:35 Next up, she's already on stage.
09:38 Miss Tessa Mauricio Arbona from "Given All the Time."
09:42 Good afternoon.
09:45 What a grand production indeed.
09:47 Last time, when we had a press conference,
09:50 what really stood out was how you made
09:52 "Pedro, Pedro" relatable.
09:54 That's our scene.
09:56 We really thought that it was really new
10:00 for this franchise.
10:02 But today, at least for me,
10:04 what stood out and what you were saying was
10:06 it really has a Marvel element.
10:08 Not to say that they're the best,
10:11 but like you said,
10:13 there's a case for the Filipinos for Marvel movies
10:16 and the way they make it.
10:18 If you could just go a little bit more into detail
10:21 on that aspect
10:23 so that the fans of Marvel movies
10:26 can really watch it.
10:28 Well, when I say Marvel movies,
10:32 I say Marvel movies
10:34 because they really have a rich universe
10:39 that they're moving in.
10:41 You can also see the effort
10:43 that they're adjusting to the present time.
10:46 Because supposedly, the superheroes
10:49 were made in the early 1900s
10:52 or the mid-1900s, right?
10:54 But they were able to transport their story
10:58 and make it relevant
11:00 in the 21st century
11:02 or whatever century it is.
11:04 It's just in the present time.
11:06 So, that's why I thought of "Pedro, Pedro"
11:09 and how we can make it relevant again.
11:12 Who are his enemies?
11:14 How can we make it relevant
11:16 in the perspective of Filipinos
11:18 in this time?
11:21 So, that's it.
11:23 Marvel is really good at this.
11:25 Yes, yes.
11:26 We're weaving stories together.
11:28 But I was also thinking more of
11:30 the effects that we're using now.
11:34 Is it really so much different
11:36 than probably just
11:38 the cause that we've seen?
11:41 Will it impress the fans?
11:44 Well, I'm trying to be real
11:46 that we can't face the effects
11:48 that Hollywood has.
11:50 Not even the Koreans can match
11:52 the level of effects of Hollywood.
11:54 That's why I decided to focus on
11:57 the story more.
11:59 But there's still something.
12:01 What I'm saying is,
12:03 I'm not the only one who depends on the movie.
12:05 Because it will look like a try-hard
12:07 if you can't pull off, right?
12:09 And it will just be distracting
12:11 in the story.
12:13 So, if you watch the movie,
12:15 you will see visual effects.
12:17 But all are in the service of the story.
12:22 That's it.
12:24 So, nothing to delete, of course.
12:26 I can't hear you.
12:28 No one will choose to direct you.
12:30 No one. I don't want to be the one
12:32 who chooses to try-hard
12:34 and then do memes of people on Facebook.
12:36 I don't want to do that.
12:38 Because what I always tell my staff
12:40 and the visual effects people who do it,
12:44 is that if we can do it or not,
12:46 if we can't do it,
12:48 don't force it because
12:50 it will just be funny.
12:52 Thank you.
12:54 Thank you so much.
12:56 And maybe just one more question
12:58 for Kylie.
13:00 Kylie, I think another question
13:02 that we'd like to learn from you.
13:04 You said that you love stories and rom-coms.
13:06 The ones that you do.
13:08 And obviously, this is your first fantasy movie.
13:10 What is the adjustment
13:12 that you felt?
13:14 Or was it a relief?
13:16 Was it more fun?
13:18 No drama and all of that?
13:20 I was...
13:22 Actually,
13:24 it was last minute
13:26 when Viva gave it to me.
13:28 And even though my schedule
13:30 was a bit packed,
13:32 I really went through a lot
13:34 because I know
13:36 I didn't want to go into this movie
13:38 unprepared.
13:40 The training was a bit heavy.
13:42 The script was heavy.
13:44 The Tagalog was deep.
13:46 So what I asked right away
13:48 is I want to train
13:50 more for action.
13:52 And I've always
13:54 wanted to do action.
13:56 I think I'm...
13:58 I'm a very active person.
14:00 So maybe
14:02 we trained
14:04 more than a month or two
14:06 for just a few fight scenes.
14:08 I didn't want
14:10 to look soft
14:12 or girly girl.
14:14 So I really wanted
14:16 and I need
14:18 to train more
14:20 for action scenes.
14:22 And I'm so happy.
14:24 I thought that
14:26 even just looking at the training videos,
14:28 I was like, "Wow, I did that."
14:30 And even looking at some clips,
14:32 I'm happy
14:34 with the way it turned out.
14:36 Thank you. And one last question
14:38 for Mateo. A Pejorative Universe
14:40 question if you don't mind.
14:42 With Pinduco's powers,
14:44 what would you like to
14:46 change or solve
14:48 or...
14:50 even Pinduco's powers.
14:52 Thank you very much for the question.
14:54 They asked me several weeks ago
14:58 if I had a power of choice, what would it be?
15:00 I think it goes for each
15:02 character of Pinduco.
15:04 I think also the most important power
15:06 and the power I wish to have is the power of love.
15:08 If we just continue loving one another,
15:12 spreading the love,
15:14 being an example to others,
15:16 just appreciate each
15:18 and every one of our peers.
15:20 Spread the love. I think this can really
15:22 create a ripple effect of change.
15:24 Yes, it sounds
15:26 cliche, it sounds simple and all,
15:28 but if we really put it into heart
15:30 and make it as genuine
15:32 and as true as possible, I think we can
15:34 change the world slowly with love.
15:36 Okay, you're through to the finals.
15:38 Thank you very much.
15:42 Thank you very much, Ms. Tessa.
15:44 Let's go on to the other side of the line from Lionheart TV.
15:46 We have Floan Calites.
15:48 Hello, Sir Floan.
15:50 I'm here with Ethel, sorry.
15:52 First question, Connie, regarding
15:56 when
15:58 Pedro Pinduco was
16:00 actually an original
16:02 Francisco Conchini.
16:04 It's actually a
16:06 reconnection of the Filipinos
16:08 to the mythology,
16:10 to the
16:12 Filipino creatures.
16:14 So how did you connect or
16:16 how did you bring
16:18 the Filipino mythology
16:20 in terms of your approach
16:22 to Pinduco?
16:24 Sorry, where are you?
16:26 I can't hear you.
16:28 Sorry, how?
16:30 How do you reintroduce the
16:32 because when it was
16:34 created by Francisco Conchini as a comic
16:36 before, the Pinduco was
16:38 more on introductions
16:40 of Filipino mythology.
16:42 So how did you
16:44 reconnect with the new generations
16:46 of Pinduco, aside
16:48 from using that
16:50 the concept of
16:52 Marvel Universe?
16:54 It's like reconnecting them with their roots.
16:56 Oh,
16:58 as I said, if there's one
17:00 thing that's consistent with
17:02 the versions of Pedro Pinduco,
17:04 it's that
17:06 there's always a Filipino folklore,
17:08 a Filipino mythology involved.
17:10 Right? So
17:12 even in the city
17:14 where Pedro Pinduco is based,
17:16 he still has
17:20 skills and knowledge
17:22 about the ancestors,
17:24 about the worship,
17:26 and he can see the anitos,
17:28 the earth.
17:30 So it's like he's following that magic.
17:32 He's following
17:34 the city.
17:36 So,
17:38 then,
17:40 I'm a strong believer
17:44 that
17:46 the Filipino culture can be brought
17:48 even in the modern times.
17:50 Right?
17:52 So, I'm an artist,
17:54 I integrated Filipino martial arts,
17:56 and then,
17:58 here in Pedro Pinduco,
18:00 we released a statement that
18:02 there's a secret or underground
18:04 training center
18:06 or academy
18:08 for people
18:10 who have a psychic gift
18:12 of healing, of sorcery.
18:14 So, you know,
18:16 it's like you're making people's imagination
18:18 go wild.
18:20 So,
18:22 so,
18:24 it's just a strategy
18:26 to integrate Filipino folklore
18:28 and mythology, even though
18:30 it's set in the modern times, in the city.
18:32 Thank you.
18:34 Last question to Sir Albert.
18:36 We don't know
18:38 if you already did
18:40 a Pedro Pinduco before.
18:42 So, as one
18:44 Pinduco.
18:46 How does it feel
18:48 to be a Pinduco for two generations?
18:50 And at the same time,
18:52 is there,
18:54 how would you describe before
18:56 and then this Pinduco that you did
18:58 today with Viva?
19:00 To start with,
19:04 definitely, it's a Gen Z version
19:06 of Pinduco.
19:08 The first Pinduco that we did
19:10 is more of a traditional classic style.
19:12 Though,
19:14 Gen Z can relate to
19:16 the lack of situations,
19:18 dreams,
19:20 aspirations,
19:22 and misfortunes of Gen Z.
19:24 Which I was,
19:26 I think,
19:28 that I have come up with something
19:30 that's something different.
19:32 And I think,
19:34 I believe,
19:36 we'll catch that generation.
19:38 As far as
19:40 the difference between the two
19:42 characters,
19:44 I enjoyed the moment
19:46 with being one
19:48 Pinduco.
19:50 It's a
19:52 fun
19:54 thing. But,
19:56 doing this particular Pinduco,
19:58 I was given a chance to be
20:00 not me. They gave me
20:02 a character. A character
20:04 that doesn't look like me,
20:06 a character that doesn't talk like me,
20:08 but a character that
20:10 created by them.
20:12 And I'm so proud to be
20:14 part of this. And
20:16 I congratulate
20:18 Mateo to be
20:20 the Pinduco of this generation.
20:22 Thank you, Sir Floel.
20:30 Now we have from
20:32 My Movie World, Bernard Santos.
20:34 Sir Bernard.
20:36 Hello.
20:38 Hello.
20:44 My question is for Mateo.
20:46 Hi.
20:48 Personally,
20:50 how would you relate your character
20:52 to your personal character
20:54 in your own song?
20:56 Good afternoon.
21:02 How would I relate?
21:04 Coming to this Pinduco,
21:06 they said, "Mateo, action no.
21:10 Gusto kong maging action star."
21:12 But when I entered this,
21:14 I didn't want to come in as a
21:16 feeling action star.
21:20 "Oh, ako sigur to."
21:22 Pinduco still holds
21:24 the charm, that
21:26 charisma.
21:28 Which, if he falls,
21:30 when he falls, and when he makes mistakes,
21:32 when he gets hit in the head, or
21:34 fails at something,
21:36 tatayong pa rin siya with a big smile on his face.
21:38 And tala ng gagawin niya ulit.
21:40 Uulitin niya talaga.
21:42 So I think,
21:44 that little antidote,
21:46 I can relate with,
21:48 because
21:50 sa lahat ng mga pinagdaanan sa buhay,
21:52 kahit mahirap,
21:54 kahit na huulog tayo, tatayong pa rin tayo
21:56 with a nice smile on our face,
21:58 and we'll do it over and over again
22:00 until we achieve it.
22:02 So I guess yun, yung charisma ni Pedro Pinduco,
22:04 yung pagiging arwitin niya, yung
22:06 pagiging
22:08 charismatic nga ba.
22:10 So I think that's what I can really relate with Pedro Pinduco today.
22:12 Follow-up tala.
22:16 What's the most challenging or unforgettable
22:18 experience while shooting the movie?
22:20 Maraming mga anong dito.
22:24 Mga fight scenes.
22:26 Una-una sabihin ko sa mga fight scenes,
22:28 yung mga kasama ko sa mga fight scenes natin,
22:30 maraming kami mga pasakan.
22:32 Pasak talaga. After a whole week of just shooting
22:34 fight scenes, yung mga kamay namin,
22:36 yung mga leng namin,
22:38 pulang pasakan. I guess it was all part of it.
22:40 Sharing
22:44 the moment with Albert, and of course
22:46 with Janice Arcelian,
22:48 was an amazing experience.
22:50 Two of the biggest and most
22:52 award-winning small actors
22:54 that I got to share the moment with them
22:56 was truly memorable.
22:58 Especially
23:00 dito Albert.
23:02 Yung make-up niya,
23:04 how he prepared for this role was very, very
23:06 different. It was actually very tough.
23:08 I won't spill the beans
23:10 right now, but he really prepared
23:12 physically.
23:14 So it was very,
23:16 it was amazing sharing the moments with him.
23:18 And of course with my father's,
23:20 your father-in-law,
23:22 sharing the dramatic scenes with him, which was guided
23:24 very nicely by the director, was incredible.
23:26 I can't wait to see it in big screen.
23:28 Thank you.
23:32 Maybe just to add, yung nakita ko
23:34 kay Pedro na sobrang
23:36 similar kay Mateo,
23:38 parang very imperfect
23:40 siya na superhero.
23:42 Yung he's...
23:44 And for me,
23:46 medyo childlike kasi si
23:48 Penduko, medyo childlike
23:50 si Mateo, bolero
23:52 si Mateo, bolero din
23:54 si Penduko. So para sa akin,
23:56 perfect si Mateo
23:58 for Penduko kasi
24:00 siya na talaga yun. Parang it didn't
24:02 have to go far to
24:04 whom Penduko was.
24:06 Very, alam mo yun, yung
24:08 yung, hindi naman on the
24:10 verge of being worthy, pero ang dami niyang
24:12 pinagdadaanan. Ang dami niyang gusto
24:14 sa buhay, hindi niya makontrol
24:16 ang emotions niya.
24:18 Very imperfect siya na superhero.
24:20 Nang feeling ko na makakarelate yung mga
24:22 kabadaan ko. Kahit ako, parang
24:24 huh, he's not that
24:26 perfect but it's charming.
24:28 Thank you.
24:30 Welcome.
24:32 Thank you Sir Bernard.
24:34 We will move on to Sir Jim P.
24:36 Anarquan from Freebie Manila.
24:38 Hello Paul, good afternoon.
24:42 Once again, happy congratulations.
24:44 My question is for Alan.
24:46 Because like Sir Albert,
24:48 kasi na yun, yun ang question ni
24:50 Flow, di ba nga? You were also part of
24:52 the Pedro Benduko and Miki Lakan
24:54 but for the skin of.
24:56 So, same question din, but how
24:58 do you see the difference of viewing
25:00 that show a few years
25:02 back na, and then it's one of
25:04 the people na, kung mga larger
25:06 scale, because I'm a deaf.
25:08 Well, like
25:10 Tito Albert said a while ago,
25:12 this is something different.
25:14 Before kasi, when I was doing
25:16 the Pedro Benduko at Mga Ingat Tao,
25:18 I'm also a hero.
25:20 I'm one of the heroes also.
25:22 Then, ito naman
25:24 parang, parang
25:26 pinagsama ko lahat ng
25:28 mga pangyarihan
25:30 sa isang pelikula. And somehow
25:32 for the Jetsons to do, somehow
25:34 really, yun yung
25:36 pinakita na execution
25:38 in the Regression, Bolog Samana.
25:40 That's why it's totally different
25:42 from before. But
25:44 it was fun before, doing
25:46 Katao. Medyo
25:48 nakapagangkat din kasi
25:50 actions talaga.
25:52 Nagsimula din ako sa actions
25:54 before. So somehow, for me
25:56 it helped me a lot doing
25:58 this film when it comes to
26:00 action scenes.
26:02 Doing my action scenes
26:04 with Mateo, sa training
26:06 ground namin. So,
26:08 masasabi ko, this is
26:10 totally different and special.
26:12 At
26:14 considering na
26:16 si Mateo, gagaing out,
26:18 like I said kanina, bagay na
26:20 bagay kasi. Dahil yung
26:22 personality ni Medyo
26:24 and somehow yung personality ni Mateo
26:26 pareha. So,
26:28 mas ma-appreciate ng tao
26:30 panahonin ng pelikula.
26:32 And then, I expect naman
26:34 sa dynamics din niya ni Mateo kasi
26:36 based on the trailer, parang tayo yung
26:38 personal rivals.
26:40 As always.
26:42 Ako happy ako sa
26:44 character ko. And
26:46 in some of our reunion na rin
26:48 for me and with director Jason,
26:50 nakakatawa
26:52 kay scene sa Mateo at di rin
26:54 namin maghawasan yung magkatamaan kami.
26:56 Pero, it's part of it.
26:58 Diba? At
27:00 it's a big opportunity again
27:02 for me to be part of
27:04 Metro Manila Film Fest.
27:06 And considering, it's a
27:08 big movie. Kaya sabi ko
27:10 tatakapin ko yan ayun tang magyaring.
27:12 So, I'm less and very
27:14 grateful for this material.
27:16 Okay. Si Mateo,
27:18 maka mayroon din niya add about
27:20 yung mga fight scenes yun ni Aaron
27:22 kung paano yung i-expect naman sa
27:24 mga dalawa. Yung mga tamahan lang yan.
27:26 Sige, masayaan din yung fight scenes
27:28 namin ni Aaron. Actually, all of them, diba?
27:30 Iba yung experience namin. Pero si Aaron
27:32 talaga kamaksa talaga mo yun.
27:34 Diba? Kasi madalaga kami
27:36 na-sama ni Aaron. But, I think that this is the first
27:38 project together. O. So, it was
27:40 exciting sa fight scene. Syempre sa
27:42 mga rehearsals namin sa training,
27:44 paano pa kami? Parang pa-professional
27:46 kami dalawa. Kaya ganito. Pero sa
27:48 totoong buhay, taka niya kampasa kami.
27:50 "Dito, bro. Bigay. Bigay." So, it was a
27:52 good experience. Dahil, alam mo naman
27:54 matigas na si Aaron. So, diba?
27:56 Kahit kampasin ko yan, kampasin niya.
27:58 For the movie. Kasi ayaw namin
28:00 ni Mateo mapanood kami
28:02 ng tao. Ano, ano ba yan? Parang
28:04 hindi na daya naman. Masyadong
28:06 maybe yung fight scene.
28:08 Saan naman, diba? We don't want
28:10 to waste scenes like that.
28:12 It was all choreographed. Everything
28:14 was safe naman. It was all properly
28:16 done by, of course, our fight director
28:18 Erwin Taglia, of course, the direction
28:20 of Direk Paul. But everything
28:22 was good. It was very nice and precise.
28:24 With some hits, but it was nice. It was a good
28:26 mas... mas...
28:28 sakit na masyadong paano.
28:30 It's not perfect, but it's
28:32 really good.
28:34 Sure naman 'to, pero for the record,
28:36 na wala namang na-offend or
28:38 magne-award sa mga sakit.
28:40 Na-offend? Ah, wala.
28:42 Wala naman, diba?
28:44 Hopefully.
28:46 Hopefully.
28:48 Thank you so much, Pa, and congratulations.
28:50 Thank you, thank you. Thank you, Sir
28:52 Trippy. And now from the vlog,
28:54 CJ Cint, we have CJ Moano.
28:56 Hi po.
28:58 I'm here in the studio po.
29:00 My first question is for
29:02 Miss Kylie Manizales, Pa. So,
29:04 hi Miss Kylie.
29:06 So, noong binigay sa'yo yung
29:08 role na L.A.Y.,
29:10 may naging
29:12 girl type ka pa noong nabasa mo yung
29:14 script?
29:16 Yes. I have the
29:18 time to always ask my director
29:20 po, sino ba nalilo yung
29:22 bang niya for this? And
29:24 ang binigay ni
29:26 Direk was Black Widow,
29:28 Scarlett Johansson,
29:30 and I'm such a big fan
29:32 of the film, so sinabi niya yung,
29:34 yes, it's perfect.
29:36 But I also started watching a few more
29:38 girl superheroes, mga Wonder Woman,
29:40 Angelina Jolie,
29:42 Peg, so binigombine ko lang yung
29:44 talawa. Feeling ko si
29:46 Liway, mas personality ni Black
29:48 Widow, with a bit of yung
29:50 angst ni, let's say,
29:52 Tomb Raider,
29:54 pero mas Black Widow yung bite namin.
29:56 Thank you, Ms. Caillou.
29:58 My last
30:00 question is for
30:02 Direk JB and Sir
30:04 Maneo. So, di ba po ang
30:06 penduku arang ang target market
30:08 is family. So,
30:10 ano po yung may expect naming
30:12 lessons na gusto nyong
30:14 mang-impart from the gents sa
30:16 movie na 'to?
30:18 Let's start with Maneo.
30:20 Yeah, family.
30:22 Parami, parami.
30:24 Actually, it relates back to sa ating
30:26 mga kabataan, to a very
30:28 wide market, no?
30:30 Teenagers, young adults, adults,
30:32 etc. Because it's about a boy with
30:34 a big dream. It's about a boy
30:36 with a really big, hungry
30:38 dream that he wants to have
30:40 success for himself, for his family, for
30:42 his father, and for his community.
30:44 Now, nung may trabaho talaga siya,
30:46 ginawa na niya lahat, ginawa na niya
30:48 mga trabaho, nakuha na niya yung
30:50 success na yan, nakuha na niya yung pero na yan,
30:52 nakuha niya lahat.
30:54 And like with the cliche line, "With great power comes
30:56 great responsibility." I think this really
30:58 happens, 'ba?
31:00 When you have so much power in your hands, you can use it
31:02 in a positive or negative way.
31:04 Now, that was the dilemma of Pinduho mayon.
31:06 Anong gagawin ko mayon dito? Ito,
31:08 ang lakas na tamay ko, ang lakas na power natin.
31:10 So I guess, let's relate to our kabataan.
31:12 Now, with, of course, social media, of course,
31:14 daha tayo may atindi ng power
31:16 na kas kamay natin dahil
31:18 pag-i-post natin yan, 'di ba?
31:20 So, again, with this great power,
31:22 how do you use it for a great,
31:24 for good responsibility or good examples
31:26 for the next, for the kabataan, 'no?
31:28 So, 'yun, I think
31:30 a lot of people will relate. One, because
31:32 Pinduho's a dreamer, he's a hungry man
31:34 for success. And 'yun,
31:36 pag may power na siya, paano na gamitin
31:38 yung power na yan?
31:40 So, 'yun, sa film ko naman, kita niya yung ups
31:42 and downs ng character, and I'm sure a lot
31:44 of people can relate to that.
31:46 Thank you.
31:48 So, in the version of Pinduho na 'to,
31:50 it also explores
31:52 identity, 'yun,
31:54 in terms of,
31:56 kasi for context lang.
31:58 Si Pedro nito, anak ng isang
32:00 albularyo na super sikat
32:02 dun sa village nila.
32:04 Kaso,
32:06 yung albularyo 'yon,
32:08 played by John Resigna,
32:10 hindi siya naniningil.
32:12 So, kahit na sikat sila,
32:14 ...
32:16 Masasabi natin, parang
32:18 mahirap yung pamumuhay nila.
32:20 And si Pedro, nung bata siya,
32:22 ...
32:24 parang hindi niya matanggap, kasi,
32:26 meron siya yung mga pangarap na mag-anal sa city,
32:28 ...
32:30 alam niyo 'yun, to live a materially
32:32 well-being life.
32:34 And since hindi sila magkasund yung tatay
32:36 naman kasi, paniniwala niya,
32:38 since meron siya yung gift of healing,
32:40 dapat ibigay niyo ng libre
32:42 sa mga tao.
32:44 So, ngayon, si Pedro, naglayas,
32:46 pumunta sa city,
32:48 para gumawa ng something out of himself.
32:50 So, the film
32:52 explores kung, alam niyo,
32:54 kalimunan mo pa dapat yung
32:56 roots mo, or
32:58 imitate mo yung roots mo, or
33:00 i-welcome mo yung modernity.
33:02 So, it explores themes like that, aside from dun sa
33:04 mga si Kami ni Pedro, about,
33:06 you know, using your talent or your gift
33:08 for the betterment of society.
33:10 So, isa 'yon, dun sa
33:12 isa 'yon sa mga conscious decision
33:14 yung ginawa ko na sana magkaroon
33:16 new bendu ko,
33:18 nang mga ganun.
33:20 Kasi yung mga past, I'm not saying na wala naman silang lessons,
33:22 pero they were more of,
33:24 "Oh, magpakatapang ka,
33:26 it's an enemy."
33:28 So, dito, it explores more, you know,
33:30 themes,
33:32 family,
33:34 friendship,
33:36 identity, and
33:38 using your gift for
33:40 the betterment of society.
33:42 Thank you, Sir CJ.
33:46 Now, from Anong Ganap,
33:48 Erwin Ogawa. Sir Erwin.
33:50 So, ang ginawa ko naman, then again,
33:52 sa ganun ko naman, bagong teaser,
33:54 job well done ko.
33:56 For Mateo, actually, curious lang ko ako,
33:58 growing up, sino pinlo
34:00 on our Hollywood superhero,
34:02 ang nililiplo ka po, na nakapag-inspire
34:04 sa'yo 'tong portrait mo?
34:08 Not necessarily superhero, but I consider
34:10 them superheroes.
34:12 Sila Bruce Lee.
34:14 Napangatindi, talaga, Bruce Lee.
34:16 Back when I was growing up,
34:18 I remember sa sofa,
34:20 sa sofa kami ni Papa, sa mga pelikula
34:22 pinapanood namin Bruce Lee.
34:24 Si Sylvester Stallone at si
34:26 Bandung, at saka si Terminator.
34:28 Sila yung mga pinapanood ko.
34:30 So,
34:32 yun, I'm here today,
34:34 2023, and I'm, you know,
34:36 I'm portraying a Filipino superhero.
34:38 So, I hope this can really
34:40 be a great example to the
34:42 youth, of course. And I just look, again, to remind
34:44 the Filipino here
34:46 and abroad how important
34:48 and how amazing it is to be Pinoy.
34:50 Yung mga cultures na yung mga
34:52 tradisyonal, lahat-lahat ng mga yan,
34:54 maliito po sa pelikula.
34:56 Thank you, man. Si Bang Kasa, si Merl Besson.
34:58 Sino yung superhero
35:00 or local or international,
35:02 kung gusto nyo iportray?
35:04 Yung fantasy si yung iportray in the future.
35:06 O parang, ano,
35:08 yung fantasy na, sila na past.
35:10 Who wants to answer?
35:16 Phoebe?
35:18 Sino yung superhero?
35:20 I love
35:26 watching, of course, as
35:28 Kylie said, si Angelina Jolie.
35:30 You know, like, peg talaga for women
35:32 in action. Women in action
35:34 is her.
35:36 But I would say, I like
35:38 X-Men also. So gusto ko yung
35:40 Powers ni Jean Grey.
35:42 Yung pag-Phoenix.
35:44 Okay?
35:46 Another guess?
35:48 Hello po.
35:50 Ako po si Martin.
35:54 Siguro,
35:56 ang gusto ko, I mean,
35:58 dream na superhero
36:00 si Spider-Man.
36:02 Kasi ever since
36:04 tinatapo ako,
36:06 yan talaga yung feeling, character mo.
36:08 At the moment,
36:10 yan lang naman, Spider-Man talaga,
36:12 good choice. Si Robin.
36:14 Ako po si, ano,
36:16 si Ben 10. Joke lang po.
36:18 Ben 10? Ben si Thor.
36:20 Thor.
36:22 JC?
36:24 Sa akin po, siguro,
36:26 si Flash. Kasi parang
36:28 lahat ng gabi nyo.
36:30 Yes. In second.
36:32 Or ninth.
36:34 Ako naman,
36:36 si Deadpool.
36:38 Deadpool?
36:40 Yes, good choice.
36:42 Kasi syempre yung
36:44 vibe na yan. Gusto ko yung
36:46 dating ni Deadpool.
36:48 And The Panther, syempre. Wakanda forever.
36:50 Yes.
36:52 Sorry, sorry, sorry.
36:54 I meant someone.
36:56 Next, Angela.
36:58 Okay lang po,
37:00 kung hindi superhero,
37:02 mahilig ko, basta ako mananood ng anime.
37:04 And kung alam mo yung one piece,
37:06 mayroon po din yung one character na sobrang
37:08 love na love. Si Robin.
37:10 Super.
37:12 Gusto ko sana yung future mo,
37:14 portray niyo, or cosplay,
37:16 kahit cosplay.
37:18 Hello, Robin.
37:20 Hello po.
37:22 Siguro, hindi na po ako alala yung
37:24 magkakaroon ako ng pagkakataan.
37:26 Gusto ko, for Tracy,
37:28 Dooku, syempre, yung future ko.
37:30 Magbigay niya ng chance, so ayun.
37:32 And Dooku!
37:34 Next,
37:36 Tyrone.
37:38 Ahh...
37:40 Kyle Steen.
37:42 Pwede naman.
37:44 Tin America talaga.
37:46 Kapten America.
37:52 Akala mo si Andrew America.
37:54 Ako,
37:58 Iyo ba talaga, Iyo?
38:00 Ako gusto ko maging part ng Avengers.
38:02 Yes.
38:04 Para makita mo din yung crush ko doon.
38:06 Bakit nasaan, magaling kami.
38:08 Iba pala yung talaga.
38:10 Thank you.
38:12 Zombie.
38:14 Yes po, ako po,
38:16 gusto ko po si isang
38:20 American actor,
38:22 at mangala niya po ay Tom Cruise.
38:24 Tom Cruise.
38:26 Kasi si Tom Cruise yan,
38:28 yung tama.
38:30 Kasi si Tom Cruise, mayili siya mag
38:32 sa mga actions na
38:34 nakakatakot.
38:36 Gusto niya magtumalong sa mga
38:38 mataas na beauty. Ako din gusto ko yan.
38:40 Gusto ko din tumalong na...
38:42 Mission impossible.
38:44 Yan ang gusto ko.
38:46 Thank you.
38:48 Sige po ako si Iron Man.
38:50 Tony Stark.
38:52 Actually gusto ko nangasagyan yung
38:56 I am Iron Man.
38:58 Yan lang pala.
39:00 Ang ganda lang yung sa...
39:02 Hindi na kakapanod Mark.
39:04 Yung mga sacrifice na ginawa niya.
39:06 Ang sarap lang i-look up.
39:08 Talaga kaya ibigay yung lahat niya.
39:10 For world.
39:12 So Iron Man.
39:14 Mga kids namin, mga bagets namin.
39:16 Superhero.
39:18 Hello po.
39:20 Sige po.
39:22 Mga superheroes po,
39:24 wala po akong much na
39:26 favorite.
39:28 Siguro yung
39:30 superhero na...
39:32 Sinabi na po ito, kaso
39:34 Spider-Man rin.
39:36 Kasi maganda po yung mga movies.
39:40 Gusto ko po yung
39:42 superpower niya.
39:44 Um...
39:46 Uh...
39:48 Climb buildings.
39:50 Superman.
39:52 And next?
39:54 So ano man po, siguro si Superman.
39:56 Since I was a child, really
39:58 na-addict po ako ay Superman.
40:00 Marami po siyang powers.
40:02 Mas marami po yung chance nila yung iba-ibig
40:04 niya to help people.
40:06 Thank you.
40:08 I would say Wonder Woman.
40:10 Because...
40:12 Because she's
40:14 role model for kids.
40:16 Because she has super strength.
40:18 And
40:20 she's a really
40:22 good role model
40:24 again for women empowerment.
40:26 So I think
40:30 I would love to be Wonder Woman
40:32 for a superhero.
40:34 Thank you guys.
40:38 Bye.
