00:57 The Southpaw Paul Meta,
00:59 more experienced at the higher level of opponents,
01:04 but Boca Chica wants to see his first time here on Pro Box
01:11 be a time in which he leaves with a belt.
01:16 - You can see Boca Chica trying to measure
01:18 and trying to create that middle range
01:20 where he can--wants to work there,
01:21 and Paul Meta wants to get inside that middle range
01:23 and fight at close range.
01:25 The battle of real estate begins.

01:33 Left hand, right hand combination from Alberto there.
01:35 Paul Meta wants to get on the inside.
01:37 He wants to bang with both hands just like that.
01:39 Boca Chica, more of the sharpshooter,

01:43 pawing with that lead hand.
01:44 Ooh, good right hand over the top from Paul Meta as well.

02:13 Southpaw against Orthodox here in our main event of the evening.

02:21 - A check hook from Paul Meta is a nicely timed punch.
02:23 He's been catching Boca Chica with that one
02:26 a couple times already here early in round one.
02:31 - And Boca Chica moving the opposite way
02:33 you ideally want to move against a Southpaw.
02:36 But so far, Paul Meta's been landing more of the right hook
02:39 than the left hand.
02:40 He landed the left hand early in the round, but that's it.
02:42 - That's one of the things I notice
02:43 from watching tape on Paul Meta.
02:45 I mean, he punches well with both hands.
02:46 He's not a one-handed fighter like a lot of Southpaws are.
02:52 Good size welterweights here.

26:00 Being first to me isn't always having to throw punches.
26:02 You can be first and still conserve energy, again,

29:39 - And, Chris, you mentioned earlier how Palmetto,
29:44 shorter, he gives away reach to Boca Chica,
29:47 but he's also fighting very compact.
29:50 - Yes, very compact.
29:51 He's a shorter guy who fights short,
29:53 and those guys can be very difficult

29:56 - And we've seen that numerous times for Boca Chica,
30:00 trying to find his opponent.
30:03 - Oh, nicely done with the uppercut up the middle.
30:06 - Those shorter guys can be tricky 'cause they get so low,
30:09 your gloves start falling in their head,
30:11 and then they've got shots over the top.

32:01 - Like I was saying, at the end of the round,

32:27 - He's got Boca Chica early, but Palmetto comes back

32:30 - And Palmetto tries to steal those, champ,
32:32 but I was gonna say right before that last flurry
32:34 that Palmetto threw, you saw a level change from Boca Chica.
32:36 He kind of bent down, and it got Palmetto to step back
32:39 for a second, 'cause he has to react, right?
32:41 So that's what I'm saying about the subtle things you can do
32:43 to sort of maintain distance that Boca Chica doesn't do enough,
32:46 you know, just a sudden drop of your height a little bit
32:49 or faint a little bit.
32:50 Palmetto has to react to that, you know,
32:52 and it can diminish the pressure in spots
32:55 that he's not used to, and he's not used to
32:57 being mixed with a sharp offense,
32:59 which when Boca Chica throws, it's pretty sharp.
