00:33 This live event was a simple one going all the way back to when Fortnite was just gaining

00:38 Players got to experience a beautiful meteor shower that seemed to pop out of nowhere.
00:42 However, the biggest surprise was when the shower showed no signs of stopping and started
00:46 getting closer to the map.
00:48 Many began speculating what this was all leading up to with most claiming Tilted Towers was
00:52 about to be leveled.
00:59 In the end, we said goodbye to Dusty Depot and it helped birth the idea of live in-game
01:03 events within Fortnite.
01:05 Since then, each idea has gotten crazier and crazier as you'll see throughout the rest
01:10 of our list.
01:16 Number 9.
01:17 The Giant Purple Cube - Chapter 1 Season 5
01:26 By this point, we were getting used to mysterious occurrences within Fortnite.
01:29 Then, this giant purple cube showed up.
01:32 Players were initially confused as to what the purpose of this entity was until one day
01:36 it started to move.
01:45 We remember the hysteria over this as legions of players and content creators were trying
01:49 to guess what it was doing, where it was going, and what it could all lead up to.
01:53 What we got were several enigmatic runes sprouting in the cube's wake and the eventual creation
01:58 of the floating island we'd see in the following season.

02:08 Operation Skyfire - Chapter 2 Season 7
02:17 The Zero Crisis finale was pretty great, but Operation Skyfire surpassed everything with

02:28 ship with explosives while sneaking past alien soldiers.
02:38 Once you find the core, it appears empty until, big reveal, the cube from Chapter 1 was responsible

02:46 It was such an epic setup for Season 8's story surrounding the mysteries of the Golden Cube.

02:57 The End - Chapter 2 Season 8
03:06 It was almost hard to believe that Chapter 2 was drawing to a close and it was coming
03:10 a tad quicker than Chapter 1's ending did.
03:13 After seeing the way Epic suddenly brought an end to the first chapter, how do you pull
03:16 off the same scale of wonder a second time?
03:18 Well, let players witness the birth of a colossal cube queen that calls upon a race of aliens
03:23 to invade.
03:32 Of course, the biggest, most mind-bending moment was when we all saw the island getting
03:37 flipped upside down, revealing the map we'd be playing on for Chapter 3.

03:50 Fracture - Chapter 3 Season 4
03:52 It's sort of bizarre how Chapter 3 ended so soon compared to the other chapters.
04:08 However, it did wind up getting one of the coolest finales.
04:11 Fracture brought everything to a close for the Zero Point Saga as the four players attempted
04:15 one final defense on the Reality Tree.
04:23 As the title implies, the island gets completely fractured with all sorts of locations floating
04:27 by their lonesome.
04:28 It all ends with chrome vortexes all over the place and the eventual assembly of a brand
04:32 new island, leading us into Chapter 4.

04:44 The Big Bang - Chapter 4 Season 5
04:54 This was a wild ride.
04:56 With the OG season rubbing some players the wrong way, some folks were wondering whether
04:59 Fortnite was starting to lose steam.
05:02 Far from it.
05:03 The Big Bang was an 11-minute long teaser of what was to come in Chapter 5 Season 1.
05:14 Racing with cars from Rocket League, a LEGO-fied game mode, and even a Guitar Hero-like segment
05:20 where we got to see famed rapper Eminem perform "Lose Yourself," one of his most iconic
05:24 songs.
05:25 It all capped off with a massive Marshall Mathers destroying the world while singing
05:29 Godzilla.

05:38 The Device - Chapter 2 Season 2
05:49 The Device has gone down as a fan-favorite event, and for good reason.
05:53 The agency was a fun addition to the lore and first introduced the concept of heists
05:56 into Fortnite.
05:57 But the big question was, what exactly is this shady organization planning?
06:02 What's the goal?
06:03 Well, it was to finally rid the world of the ever-closing storm.
06:11 Things quickly started getting trippy as buildings and the Device itself began getting pulled
06:15 into the ground and screens began glishing out.
06:18 It was as if the entire universe imploded and endured a hard reset, and it was awesome.

06:30 The Devourer of Worlds - Chapter 2 Season 4
06:40 So far, this has been the only time where an outside IP has had a hand in Fortnite's
06:44 story, at least at this level.
06:46 The Devourer of Worlds began just before Chapter 2's fourth season ended, when Galactus first
06:51 emerged from outside the map.
07:00 From the level of interactivity between Galactus and the environment to Iron Man and Wolverine's
07:04 involvement, this event was wild in how it managed to continue a somewhat cohesive narrative
07:09 while roping in Marvel Comics for an epic crossover.

07:20 The Final Showdown - Chapter 1 Season 8
07:30 One of the coolest additions to Season 8 was the giant mecha that stood towering above
07:34 Pressure Plant.
07:35 It would be a shame if it wasn't used for something cool, and Epic knew what we'd all
07:39 been wanting the second we saw it.
07:47 Seeing the sudden appearance of the Devourer immediately told us the mecha was about to
07:51 come alive from one of the most explosive fights we had seen in Fortnite by this point.
07:56 And that climactic end where a kneel-tilted statue turned out to be a sword?
08:00 Truly one of the greatest events to ever happen in the game.

08:12 The End - Chapter 1 Season 10
08:22 This one was an event no one could have ever forgotten.
08:25 It was already bizarre that we jumped from regular numbers to a Roman numeral, but we
08:29 didn't expect this momentous milestone to mark a monumental maneuver into an ever-changing
08:33 landscape.
08:35 As the finale to the end event in Chapter 1, a black hole emerged and spent roughly
08:38 a day and a half pulling in sections of the map.
08:41 Eventually, the entire world was wiped.
08:51 Fortnite went offline for two whole days as many were wondering what was about to happen
08:54 to the game itself.
08:56 This signified how Fortnite was about to solidify itself in today's pop culture, and since
09:00 then massive transitions like this have been a touchstone ending to every season.
