Border journo Georgia Smith says it was hard to choose the top players in the Hume Netball League this season

00:06 Smith because we can talk netball all year round.

00:09 And Georgia, you've been looking at the Hume League, what have you been doing there?

00:12 Yes, I've been putting together the top 20 netballers of the Hume League for 2023.

00:16 So yeah, it's been coming along well, I think.

00:20 How hard was it to do?

00:21 Yeah, extremely difficult.

00:22 There's obviously a lot of great netballers in the Hume League across the different teams.

00:26 So definitely wasn't an easy challenge, but I tried to look at, I guess, which players

00:31 have the ability to influence the game and people that you really notice when they're

00:36 out there and I guess take into account injuries and things that would keep them off court

00:40 as well.

00:41 Sure.

00:42 And did you notice any positions or clubs that were really standing out?

00:46 Yeah, it was obviously a very dominant season for Ausbon.

00:49 So it's probably no surprise that there's a lot of Tigers in the mix, as well as Howe

00:55 Long, they've got quite a few netballers in there and Jindra as well, I'd say had a few

01:00 representatives in the top 20 as well.

01:02 And Number 1, how hard was that?

01:04 Yeah, Number 1 was a little bit tricky.

01:05 There's probably two standout players that it came down to, but yeah, pretty happy with

01:11 where we've settled for Number 1.
