00:25 This is the story of a happy-go-lucky boy from a small town in Kansas named Elliot.
00:31 He hopped off a plane at LAX with a dream and a cardigan.
00:35 Welcome to the land of fame excess.
00:37 Was he going to fit in?
00:39 He'd never been used to not having a friend.
00:41 A problem he was positive he would soon mend.
00:45 So on move-in day and the weeks to come, he had his door wide open.
00:50 But no one came.
00:53 No one came.
00:55 He had no friends, so people thought he was boring.
00:59 He ate lunch alone and dinner alone, because everyone laughed and played.
01:06 "If only this were me," he pondered, ever so sadly.
01:11 "I wouldn't come home lonely and in so much dismay."
01:15 No one said hi.
01:17 Hi.
01:19 No one said hello.
01:22 His voicemail and text messages were empty.
01:25 He called his mother and cried over the phone.

01:31 And then one day, as he walked back from class, not looking exactly where he was stumbling,
01:37 as if anything could possibly go worse, he bumped into people moving oh so fast,
01:42 and everything came out tumbling.
01:49 Yo, I'm so sorry about that, man.

01:52 Hey, aren't you in my Spanish class?

01:55 Elliot, right?
01:56 Yeah.
01:57 Um, hey, we're all heading over to Parkside to get some food. Are you hungry?
