00:00 What's happening people? I'm Paddy the Baddie and this is my essentials.
00:03 I can't live without music.
00:14 Anyone that comes in the gym will tell you that.
00:17 I mean, every single session it gets us going.
00:19 And then that's the same for me when I'm riding my bike or I'm out jogging.
00:24 I have to have some music on to keep the blood flowing.
00:27 I always play the same playlist when I'm in the gym.
00:29 Mob Deep and Biggie and Supac and that.
00:32 But then it's got like, your Stormzy's, your Meeks, your new people involved.
00:36 But lately I'm hooked on the Arctic Monkeys since Glastonbury to be honest.
00:41 I get asked this quite a lot.
00:42 If there's one album that you could get everyone to listen to, what would it be?
00:46 Everyone expects me to say a more recent one, but I think this album came out before I was even born.
00:51 Naz, Illmatic.
00:53 I can listen to every song on that album right after another without skipping one.
00:58 (whistling)
01:00 And the next essential item, it's quite funny because when I told people I was doing this,
01:05 they turned around and said, "Your phone best be on that list."
01:08 This phone might as well be glued to my hand.
01:10 I'm terrible for it.
01:11 You know what I mean? People always say, "Just put your phone down and speak to me."
01:14 Sometimes I'm just...
01:16 Yeah, YouTube probably is one of the most watched things on my phone, to be honest.
01:21 There is a lot of screen timers on there.
01:23 As we're talking, a comment's just come up on my YouTube right away, it's a notification.
01:27 Most used apps on my phone, I'd probably say Instagram,
01:31 WhatsApp, definitely WhatsApp, and I'm speaking to everyone.
01:34 Erm...
01:36 My work band app.
01:37 The weather. I'm always using the weather on there.
01:40 And I'm always co-pilot in the car as well,
01:43 so Google Maps is always one I get used on my phone,
01:46 even though I get told I'm the worst co-pilot in the world.
01:48 (imitates car horn)
01:54 As I say, I'm lucky enough to be born on the red side of Liverpool
01:57 because I've had some happy memories
01:59 and some of the best days of my life going to West Liverpool,
02:02 where if you were born on the blue side, you're pretty depressed.
02:06 Well, yeah, you don't get to decide who you support,
02:10 you know what I mean, or to whoever your dad supports.
02:12 Simple as that, basically.
02:14 I really don't think many people in my city,
02:18 whether you're a blue or a red, could live without our football teams.
02:22 (upbeat music)
02:25 Anyone that knows me will tell you I am pretty addicted to this game,
02:30 and it is football manager.
02:32 You're a manager of a football team, you go any team you want.
02:35 Obviously, when I first make one, I always go Liverpool.
02:38 I back me own up the Reds.
02:40 I play this every day without fail.
02:43 Like, in the car journey on the way to the gym this morning,
02:46 I was playing this.
02:47 My game time on this is 37 days, 15 hours and 17 minutes.
02:51 That's just one save.
02:53 That's how sad my life is at times.
02:55 When you're in fight camp and you've got nothing else to do,
02:57 it does proper hell past time.
03:00 I don't really play any other games.
03:02 I don't need to. I've got footy manager.
03:04 (upbeat music)
03:06 This fella right here, he's like two and a half now,
03:09 and he's basically our son.
03:12 Like, he is. He's not like a dog, he's like a human.
03:16 I'll show you something.
03:18 Come on. Come here.
03:20 We used to try and make him stay in his bed
03:23 or put a blanket on the bed and he could get on the blanket.
03:25 Now, wake up in the morning, his head's in between mine and Laura's.
03:29 You know what I mean? He's just like that on his back.
03:32 Just...
03:33 swear.
03:34 He really is like our son.
03:35 Matt, in the past then we've seen people, like,
03:39 dogs that need a home.
03:41 Spoke with Laura about, "Oh, is that gonna get another dog?"
03:43 Like, he's got a brother then or a sister.
03:45 And she's like, "No, don't think we'll ever be able
03:47 to love another dog as much as Lenny."
03:49 (UPBEAT MUSIC)
03:51 My main thing on YouTube, obviously, is uploading content and things like that.
03:56 So, first and foremost, I'm a fighter.
03:58 You know what I mean? You could call me a YouTuber now if you want,
04:01 but I haven't even got over a million subscribers,
04:03 so I'm not good enough to be a YouTuber just yet.
04:07 The video everyone knows, probably got on my channel
04:09 for anyone who knows it already, is when I grappled with 10 Marines.
04:12 That was hilarious, because I was fat, out of shape,
04:15 and they made me do a circuit before it.
04:17 So, like, by the time I'd even come to grapple with them, I was like...
04:21 (PANTING)
04:22 And then I still got it done.
04:25 (UPBEAT MUSIC)
04:27 And my next essential item,
04:29 something I know for a fact I definitely couldn't live without,
04:32 is...still feels weird to say...
04:35 my wife.
04:36 Yeah, we knew each other when we were little kids,
04:38 you know what I mean, playing in the streets.
04:40 I lived on the main road and she lived on the little side road next to her.
04:43 From my bedroom window, I could see her front door.
04:46 Know what I mean?
04:47 Yeah, she tells everyone she was raped me when we were kids.
04:50 She definitely never, know what I mean? Definitely never.
04:53 We used to play in the street together, didn't we?
04:55 I used to play in the street with your older brother.
04:57 Yeah, and then, yeah, one day we just started speaking online
05:00 and now we're here.
05:02 But, yeah, we started speaking when I was 16, she was 15,
05:05 and as they say, the rest is history.
05:08 My next essential item is...my bike.
05:12 (UPBEAT MUSIC)
05:15 I cycle everywhere, so literally to the gym, from the gym, wherever.
05:21 Well, yeah, this bike actually got gifted to me by Rhys and Muller, the company.
05:25 As you can see, it's got the baddie down the side,
05:28 it's got "You'll never walk alone" down here, as I mentioned, Liverpool F.C.
05:32 Big LFC badge on the front.
05:34 And it's an electric bike, it gives me a little push when I'm pedalling it
05:40 and it gets me from A to B just as fast as driving a car does,
05:43 especially in rush hour times.
05:45 (UPBEAT MUSIC)
05:47 Well, it's not an item, it's more a place, you know what I mean,
05:51 and to represent it, there's the Next Generation badge, which is my gym.
05:56 But, you know, it's not just obviously that gym, I train in other gyms as well.
05:59 It keeps me in a good mental space as well as it keeps me physically fit.
06:04 I first got into MMA, it was because of the UFC, you know what I mean?
06:07 One of the lads in the youth club, Kyle, showed me a fight
06:11 and I watched it and was like, "I need to have a go at that, mate, I need to have a go at that."
06:15 And I remember when I lost my first fight, I was thinking, "I can't...
06:20 "I'm not even getting by doing this, this isn't a comfortable source of income.
06:24 "I don't know what I'm meant to do here."
06:26 I got offered a job in the gym, so I started working in Next Generation every day,
06:31 helping Paul do one-to-ones and it brought me level on so much as well,
06:35 like my skill level, as well as helped me get by and just live a normal life.
06:40 So that was it, people.
06:41 That's my top essential items that I really couldn't live without
06:45 and I've given you all my essentials there.
06:48 Without them, I'd be none.
06:50 So, thank you very much for watching.
06:52 See you on the next one.
06:54 (upbeat music)
