00:00 The Johor Wildlife and National Parks Department, Perhilitan, is investigating claims that a
00:05 tiger is roaming near Taman Sri Impian following a viral video claiming to have caught the
00:10 sound of its roar.
00:12 State Perhilitan Director Aminuddin Jaman said the department received a public complaint
00:16 about the presence of a wild animal, thought to be a tiger, at Taman Sri Impian on Monday.
00:22 So far, the early investigation on the ground found no physical signs of a tiger's presence,
00:28 but Perhilitan is still investigating and monitoring the area.
00:32 Aminuddin also said Taman Sri Impian, which is located within Kuang town, was about 10
00:38 kilometers from the nearest forest.
00:40 Based on Perhilitan's data, there is no record of a tiger in that forest and the position
00:46 is far from its known natural habitat.
00:48 In the clip, a roar believed to be that of a tiger can be heard, but the video does not
00:53 show the animal that made the sound.
