00:05 These pressure tactics, therefore they will try to threaten me, they will try to scare
00:09 me.
00:10 They have come before my car, they have hit my car from both sides.
00:13 It is Chief Minister, I am saying it clearly, he is conspiring, he is sending these people
00:21 to hurt me physically.
00:23 Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has accused Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of orchestrating
00:29 a plot to physically harm him.
00:31 Delegations arose after members of the Students' Federation of India (SFI) associated with
00:37 the ruling CPIM reportedly struck Governor Khan's vehicle.
00:42 The incident unfolded as the Governor was en route to the Tiruvannamalai International
00:47 Airport for a trip to New Delhi, sparking a political firestorm in the state.
00:53 Governor Khan addressing the media expressed his belief in a deliberate effort to cause
00:58 him harm, implicating Chief Minister Vijayan in the process.
01:03 Enraged by the alleged attack, Governor Khan condemned the incident and decried what he
01:09 sees as a decline in the state's democratic values.
01:13 He asserted that political disagreements should not escalate to physical violence.
01:18 According to Governor Khan, protesting students not only waved black flags but also physically
01:24 struck his vehicle on both the sides.
01:27 He questioned the role of the police, suggesting that their actions were influenced by directives
01:32 from the Chief Minister.
01:33 "Today the hundas, they are trying to rule the roads of the Tiruvannamalai.
01:38 When they came before my car I stopped it and I got down.
01:42 Why they have fled?
01:46 Why have they fled?
01:51 What protest?
01:53 What have I done?
01:57 Because I do not wish to be pressurised by these pressure tactics, therefore they will
02:03 try to threaten me.
02:06 They will try to put, they will try to scare me.
02:10 I am not the one who can take these things lightly.
02:13 I got down from my car.
02:16 Then why, why, why they ran away?"
02:18 Rajbhavan sources reported black flags being waved at the governor in three locations,
02:24 with his car being hit by protesters at two of them.
02:29 Police have arrested seven members of the SFI in connection with the blockade of Governor
02:33 Khan's vehicle.
02:34 The SFI staged a protest alleging that the governor was sapronising universities in the
02:40 state by nominating BJP and RSS loyalists.
02:44 Union Minister Rajiv Chandrasekhar also came and strongly criticised Chief Minister Vijayan,
02:50 pointing to a deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
02:54 Chandrasekhar emphasised the need for Kerala to break free from the influence of the Congress
03:00 and left parties for its development and prosperity.
03:03 Here's what Governor Arif Mohammad Khan has to say about the whole incident which recently
03:09 happened with him.
03:12 They have come before my car.
03:13 They have hit my car from both sides when I got down.
03:17 Will they allow anybody to come near the car of the Chief Minister?
03:23 And they were all sitting in a car, which means police know what police poor people
03:30 can do when the Chief Minister is directing them.
03:34 The car, then they all got into, when I got down, they all got into their jeeps and they
03:40 ran away from there.
03:44 Is it possible?
03:46 Chief Minister's programme is going on.
03:48 Is it possible that people will bring cars there and they will bring the protesters in
03:53 the cars?
03:54 Is it possible, I ask you?
03:56 Is it possible?
03:57 Here the cars were standing there and then the police people pushed them into their cars
04:03 and they ran away from there.
04:07 So it is Chief Minister, I'm saying it clearly, he is conspiring, he is sending these people
04:15 to hurt me physically.
04:18 And the gundas are ruling.
04:20 Since morning I'm seeing this.
04:22 The gundas have been giving charge of the roads of the Tiruvannamalai and Tapuram.
04:27 The constitutional machinery seems to be collapsing.
04:31 They know if they continue this gunda raj cannot be allowed.
04:38 Collapse of the constitutional machinery cannot be allowed.
