00:00 The true meaning of Christmas was shared at Newton Abbott's Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints last week with a festival featuring over a hundred Nativity scenes from around the world.
00:09 Event organiser Dot Martin explains.
00:11 I'm the organiser of this exhibition this year here. It's our first year here in Newton Abbott so we just wanted to bring it to the Newton Abbott people.
00:23 You've got Nativities from around the world in all shapes and sizes.
00:27 Indeed we have and it's all marked so you can see which country the different Nativities are from.
00:32 And we've got a large Nativity right down to a very small one. So there's lots of different kinds of Nativities for people to see.
00:43 I'll just run from the top, don't worry about it. Of course you've got Nativities from here made out of all manner of materials and some stuff a little bit unusual haven't you?
00:51 We have indeed and I think our most famous piece is a piece from South Africa which is made out of banana skin.
