00:00 When will Christmas be celebrated in the area of 15 shops in Baclaran early this morning?

00:06 They are in trouble because they haven't been able to pay off the debt to the shops that they have borrowed from.

00:12 We have first news, Bam Alegre.

00:15 A fire broke out in a row of these shops in Baclaran, Pasay, early this morning.

00:22 According to the Bureau of Fire Protection of Pasay, 10 to 15 stalls were affected by the fire.

00:27 The fire was extinguished less than half an hour ago.

00:29 Many of the shops were burned down by vendors.

00:32 The shopkeeper, Irene Dalupang, was shocked.

00:35 I didn't expect this to happen.

00:37 I thought we would be saved.

00:41 Because, of course, we have debts to pay and this is what we have gone through.

00:50 The fire was estimated at Php 12,500 according to the BFP.

00:54 But according to the vendors, that's not the only thing that their shop is affected by.

00:58 They even borrowed money from the shop that they have been affected by.

01:01 That's not a small amount.

01:04 They have borrowed money from 5-6 shops.

01:06 We borrowed Php 1 million from that shop but that was still a debt.

01:10 Now, we are in trouble because we don't know how to pay back the debt that we have borrowed from the shop that was burned down.

01:17 The BFP will continue its investigation into the fire.
