00:00 continue moving forward after maybe the first couple quarters?
00:02 What's been the challenge there?
00:04 >> Yeah, I think it's been different things throughout the course of the year.
00:06 I think there were times where early on we were struggling and
00:08 then by the fourth quarter we popped a couple big ones when we needed them.
00:12 And then the other night it felt like we got some going early and
00:15 then it kind of, we hit our head a little bit on just some certain looks,
00:18 potentially, that making sure we have answers for
00:20 every possible look we can see, that's always one of the hard things.
00:23 I think the run game's always a challenge just because they can present things
00:26 that maybe you haven't had live reps on.
00:29 We've talked through every possibility we think we can see, but
00:32 you can't give every single rep.
00:34 So you wanna be able to handle everything, but it's really,
00:36 it's 11 people in sync running the exact same play,
00:39 acting the exact same way, doing their job really well.
00:42 Or maybe in the past game, you get surprised by something, well,
00:44 you got one route that can get you out of the down and you can get the ball out of
00:47 your hands, so the run game is certainly a different animal in the past game, but
00:52 it's something we'll continue to work with.
00:54 >> How is CJ different from Trevor?
00:57 >> I think they're different strengths as a player, and CJ,
00:59 they're not built the same.
01:01 The athleticism is different.
01:03 CJ's experienced, CJ has a big arm.
01:05 Not to say Trevor doesn't, but I just think, like anybody, player to player,
01:10 there's just a different skill set that they operate with.
01:13 So depending on who the quarterback is,
01:15 it's kind of the system doesn't necessarily change.
01:18 But the things you'll emphasize that we know Trevor does well versus what we think
01:22 CJ does well, you would just change within a game with what you call,
01:25 what you get to, what you try to emphasize.
01:27 >> How important are the practice reps this week for
01:29 CJ if he does go with the receivers just to get that time in the end?
01:32 >> Yeah, that's a big part of it.
01:33 I mean, that's certainly a huge element in the past game.
01:36 And part of that is, as Christian goes down, now Parker gets more reps.
01:39 So whether it be Trevor or
01:41 CJ, you want their chemistry with Parker to catch up to where it is with the other
01:46 guys, I think you're starting to see that with Calvin as it gets going.
01:48 As the season goes, and we bank all these reps,
01:51 similar to the way it was last year.
01:53 Where you kind of see a culmination of all the reps starting from April to now,
01:57 where everybody's kind of on the same page with how we anticipate certain things
02:00 to happen.
02:01 Now you're trying to make sure that Parker gets up to speed with that,
02:03 to at least where they trust him to be where they expect him to be.
02:07 >> Do you suspect that is Trevor gonna be sitting out of practice again today?
02:12 >> Honestly, I don't know yet at this point.
02:14 We haven't gotten that word yet, so we'll see.
02:17 Whoever's out there will practice.
02:18 >> Did you get a chance to commiserate with your brother for
02:21 a very brief time after the game the other night?
02:23 >> No, I just said hi, see you later.
02:26 That was it, so no further conversation until we see where we fall out
02:29 in the season, so.
02:31 >> See you.
