00:00 I think it's very difficult and I think it was quite a difficult decision today because
00:04 I do feel that some of the heritage buildings we have today, I mean maybe not so much in
00:11 Suffolk but in certain parts of the country, were the industrial warehouses and they were
00:15 the factories of Victorian Britain and I'm sure there was opposition when people built
00:21 them and yet now they're protected.
00:24 So I think it's quite difficult to assess the harm of a building because it has, you
00:31 know, Badley Church, as I said, people might have objected when it was first built but
00:35 it has now become part of the landscape.
00:39 And I think it's difficult because it's really hard for us to visualise what a big
00:48 solar farm in that view would look like, you know, even if you've got a CGI image it's
00:56 not going to be the same and until it's there you don't know what it's going to look like,
00:59 do you?
01:00 So I think it's a hard decision but I think that, you know, as the officer said, we have
01:08 a duty to protect these listed buildings, that's why they've been listed and what
01:15 I personally feel about historic buildings, it's not necessarily what listed buildings
01:21 are all about.
