00:13 Hi SP Fam! I'm Judy Santiago Aladin, an editor of Smart Parenting.
00:18 We all know that play is the love language of our children.
00:21 That's why we, parents, are always on the lookout for fun and new places to make core memories together.
00:27 In this episode of SP Guide, we're sharing with you a new spot in the metro that's more than just a play space.
00:34 Welcome to Puddy Rock Studio!
00:39 [music]
00:41 Come and play at the Puddy Rock Studio.
00:44 It is located on the 5th floor of the East Wing of Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong City.
00:49 As with any indoor playground, socks are a must for a little ones.
00:53 [music]
00:56 It has a play space,
01:01 an imaginative play station.
01:09 It also has a book nook,
01:18 a therapy monkey bar,
01:20 a pulpit,
01:23 a music and art section,
01:27 and the spacious multi-purpose area for music and art classes, group therapies, and birthday parties.
01:35 They also have a small room for one-on-one assessment and therapy sessions.
01:39 So here with us today is Sab Magalona and Jim Bacaro, touring us here at the Puddy Rock.
01:44 Hi Sab! And hi Jim!
01:46 So can you share with us what's the inspiration behind you building this physical space, Puddy Rock?
01:52 Well, we do have a music channel for kids. It's called Puddy Rock.
01:56 And it's all inspired by our children, and in particular, Pancho, our firstborn.
02:02 We felt like there's a gap between fun stuff and inclusivity, especially in entertainment.
02:09 And so we really wanted to address that with our kids' music channel.
02:12 We were lucky enough to meet our partners and we were able to make it into a real space.
02:18 So Puddy Rock is not just on YouTube, it's now here.
02:22 This space, I know the word is "inclusive," but we actually like "open."
02:28 Because it is a play space at the end of the day.
02:31 The Puddy Rock Studio may appear like any other play space in the Metro,
02:35 but what makes it special is that it's an inclusive space for children of all ages and abilities.
02:42 What did you bring in, like experts?
02:45 They have pens like that to check the space.
02:48 We actually do have our partner therapists, and we will have developmental assessments done here.
02:54 You can learn more about it if you go to puddyrock.com.
02:57 Send us a message there if you want to schedule assessments for your kids.
03:01 We will have classes, actually.
03:03 So we'll have classes for music, and art.
03:08 Our classes are in partnership with KidStarter, so it's a homeschooling group.
03:13 And we actually also carry their merchandise here.
03:17 We're very proud to be partners with people who have the same values.
03:20 And then what's your favorite part in the whole Puddy Rock play space?
03:25 Personally, I really like the cooking, creative, imaginative play section.
03:30 It's inspired by our song "Pizza Pizza" from Puddy Rock.
03:34 Mine is the mountain, actually.
03:36 So when we discussed as a group, what would be the centerpiece of the play space?
03:46 I love how mountain-themed it is.
03:50 And it's funny, it inspired me to write a new song about this mountain.
03:56 For us, it's so awesome that it's a side that Pancho can call home.
04:01 It's a good metaphor for parents, all parents, but most especially for parents of special needs children.
04:09 Because it's really like a climb.
04:11 You just have to keep on going and then you'll get where you want to be.
04:18 And just take your time and there's a right time for things to happen.
04:25 And I'm just really happy because it's so surreal.
04:30 I can't believe it's here.
04:31 So I'm really proud.
04:32 What's more, parents can hang out here in this coffee shop called "Kape-Kape" by Lina Lina.

04:40 [Music]
04:56 You are all invited to Puddy Rock because we share love here in Puddy Rock.
05:01 And we would love to have you here, fifth floor of the East Wing of Shangri-La Plaza in Mandaluyong.
05:07 Puddy Rock Studio is now open!
05:09 Yay!
05:10 Also, you can have your kids warm up by going to, checking out Puddy Rock on YouTube.
05:15 Listen to all the songs, by when they get here.
05:18 Yeah, yeah.
05:19 Like a completing experience.
05:22 What I love about Puddy Rock Studio is that it provides a safe space for neurotypical and neurodivergent children
05:29 to interact with each other through fun and meaningful play.
05:33 My favorite spot is the music area where kids can try out actual musical instruments.
05:38 It would be so fun seeing kids sing and dance together too.
05:42 So did you have fun in Puddy Rock Studio?
05:45 Yeah, and I can play some more after this video.
05:49 Okay.
05:50 And I will give too much stars here.
05:53 What's your favorite part of the Puddy Rock Studio?
05:56 When I was cooking pizza and also when I was playing color dolls.
06:03 What else did you like about this place?
06:05 That's all.
06:06 And also, I will give so much stars.
06:09 I think 2,000 stars.
06:12 Why?
06:13 Because it's very big.
06:15 Because I love it.
06:16 And that's it for today's video.
