00:00 My beloved countrymen, Assalamualaikum.
00:03 How are you all?
00:05 Good day to all of you.
00:07 In 2017, I personally saw a victim of an improvised explosive device by the NPA in Mandug, Davao City.
00:20 He was struggling and choking with his own blood.
00:23 It was truly a painful sight.
00:26 I will never forget my plea for forgiveness to the mother of a dead Philippine Army official
00:32 for the encounter that took place in Barangay Pakibato, Davao City.
00:37 I was speechless when I was asked how many more children will die because of terrorists in Davao City.
00:46 My fellow countrymen, there is no one like the co-leaders of the terrorist Communist Party of the Philippines,
00:52 National People's Army, and National Democratic Front of the Philippines in their fellow Filipinos.
00:59 Not only the civilians, but also the minors were the victims of the bloody war that was waged by the terrorists.
01:08 Many young students were unable to finish their studies because they were brought to the mountains to be armed terrorists.
01:17 Not to mention the barangay captains, police, security volunteers, police and soldiers
01:23 who gave their lives to protect our communities.
01:28 Their families are calling for justice, but it will not be enough if we give the terrorist groups
01:36 amnesty through Proclamations 403 and 404.
01:42 I support the steps to bring peace to the country
01:47 because the fight against terrorists is deeply personal to me
01:51 as it is deeply personal to the families of countless Filipinos
01:55 whose lives were forever upended because of the madness of terrorists.
02:01 But amnesty will not give the way to peace.
02:05 What we should do is to continue what we started with the NTF-ELCAC and strengthen it.
02:13 We have won. The communities are now fighting.
02:17 Mr. President, the government's statement with the NDFP in Oslo was an agreement with the devil.
02:24 We have proven to history that they are not serious and they have no sincerity in talking about peace.
02:32 They will use this peace negotiation to try to overthrow the government and to destroy the country.
02:39 We appeal to your power to review these proclamations and agreements.
02:44 BBM, I hope we can honor our communities who were the backbone of terrorists for a long time
02:53 and now they are fighting and helping the government.
02:57 Let us honor the memory of those who died in the senseless and bloody attacks of the NPA, CPP, and the NDFP.
03:05 Mr. President, we can negotiate for peace and reconciliation
03:10 and pursue meaningful development efforts in the Philippines without capitulating to the enemies.
03:16 We ask that we be heard.
03:19 Thank you.
03:20 Thank you, Mr. President.
03:21 Thank you.
03:22 Thank you.
03:23 Thank you.
03:25 Thank you.
03:27 Thank you.
