Taipei was named the 12th-most expensive city to live in Asia by the Economist Intelligence Unit. Singapore tied with Zurich, Switzerland in the EIU's Worldwide Cost of Living Index.

The annual Worldwide Cost of Living Index from the Economist Intelligence Unit lists Taipei as Asia's twelfth most expensive city. Zurich and Singapore are listed as the world' most expensive cities this year.
