Elizabeth Lee announces Leanne Castley to replace Jeremy Hanson

There was a spill of the deputy leadership position.

00:00 The Canberra Liberals party this morning elected a new deputy leader in Leanne Cassidy.

00:05 I'm very much looking forward to working with Leanne as we head into the 2024 election.

00:10 It's important as we have less than a year until we go to the polls that the Canberra Liberals leadership is in lockstep.

00:18 And I know that I have 100% of the support from Leanne and she will make an incredible deputy.

00:25 It is important that the Canberra Liberals leadership team is moving forward for their 2024 United Front.

00:31 October 24th will be an opportunity for all Canberrans to have their say in who is going to lead the ACT Legislative Assembly.

00:41 And it's important that we put forward our best team.

00:45 I thank Jeremy Hanson, our current deputy leader, for his work in the time that he's been in his role.

00:51 And now it's about moving forward with a positive vision for the Canberra Liberals.
