00:03 I'm meteorologist Michelle McLeod,
00:07 bringing you your forecast for the Northwest.
00:09 And storm train, it's continuing.
00:12 That's why we're calling it a stormy stretch
00:14 in the Northwest.
00:15 Why?
00:15 Well, the atmospheric river, it's
00:17 bringing in big surges of moisture.
00:19 And this is ongoing through Tuesday.
00:22 You're going to see feet of snow in the mountain passes.
00:24 And then on Sunday morning, you'll
00:26 start to see those temps rise and bring
00:29 a changeover to rain as you head throughout Sunday.
00:32 Speaking of rain, drenching rain,
00:35 you're going to see that on the coast, I-5, and the foothills.
00:39 So talking about snow, this is what
00:40 we're looking at when it comes to snow totals.
00:42 Remember we said feet?
00:44 Look at these, 36 inches, 24 inches,
00:48 anywhere between a foot to three feet there.
00:51 Rounds of snow, heaviest ongoing right now.
00:55 Closures are possible, absolutely.
00:57 And if you see those road closures, please heed them.
01:00 We want you and your family to stay safe.
01:02 And then that snow is going to change over
01:04 into rain Sunday afternoon.
01:05 And it's going to be ongoing into Monday.
01:07 Now, speaking of rain, check this out.
01:10 Look at these rain totals.
01:12 In a place like Astoria in Oregon, four to eight inches.
01:15 This is ongoing.
01:16 But from Friday to Tuesday, these
01:19 are going to be your totals.
01:20 That's a lot of rain.
01:21 So please expect flash flooding.
01:24 And make sure to keep weather aware.
01:26 Have the AccuWeather app downloaded
01:27 so that you can be alerted.
01:29 If you're in the path of severe weather, have a plan ready.
01:33 And just stay weather aware.
01:34 Push notifications on as well.
01:36 In a place like Seattle, however, you're
01:37 going to get two to four inches.
01:39 That's still a lot of rain in a small amount of time.
01:41 So Sunday morning, these are what
01:43 your temps are going to look like.
01:45 You're in the higher elevations, 20s easily,
01:47 seeing snow, especially in the passes.
01:49 But as you head farther towards the coast,
01:51 you're going to see rain, like we said, drenching rain.
01:55 In a place like Spokane, you're going
01:57 to get those rain, snow showers Sunday.
01:59 And then you're going to continue
02:00 to get rain as those temps are on the increase
02:03 into the beginning of next week.
02:04 And they're not the only ones.
02:06 I mean, this is a snapshot for Sunday.
02:08 In the mountains, you're seeing rain, snow mix,
02:11 rain as you head into the coast, and heavy snow
02:14 in the highest elevations.
02:15 Now, we do have a flooding risk, Monday night into Tuesday.
02:20 I want you to be weather aware.
02:21 We told you about the potential for flooding.
02:23 Use your heads up.
