00:00 There are co-working spaces around the rest of Kent
00:02 and it's a very popular thing these days,
00:04 especially since the pandemic and the lockdown
00:09 and people were sent to work at home.
00:11 So we've got a lot more people working at home now
00:14 and what they call remote workers
00:16 and also small businesses, sole traders,
00:19 people that can't afford a full-blown office.
00:22 So co-working is about providing a flexible space
00:26 for people to work in that isn't their back bedroom
00:29 or their kitchen table.
00:30 That doesn't stop you working at home if you want to,
00:33 but it gives you a break.
00:34 So the whole idea behind co-working
00:37 is you can use this as little or as much as you want.
00:40 You can come in just for one day
00:42 or you could use it five days a week or anything in between,
00:46 but you're also not locked into it.
00:48 So you could use it five days, one week
00:51 and not come back for three weeks and then use it one day.
00:54 So it's incredibly flexible.
00:56 The benefits of co-working,
00:58 especially now with the high cost of energy,
01:00 is it's cheaper to work here and get warm with our energy
01:05 than it is to heat your own home.
01:07 Of course, we have high-speed broadband.
01:11 We have a fiber optic link here with 200 megabit uncontested.
01:14 So broadband is incredibly efficient
01:18 and it's also a nice environment to work.
01:20 There's an eatery on site, a public coffee shop,
01:24 and you get a discount if you're a member here,
01:27 but there's other like-minded people to work with
01:29 should you want to share experiences.
