00:00 Well, we are tracking storms into the
00:02 southeast and well hey if you look behind
00:04 it all you see is brown across a lot of
00:07 the southeast. That means we really
00:09 do need the rain. We are experiencing
00:11 some type of drought across most of
00:13 the southeast if we look at where we
00:15 are really hurting for that rain though.
00:17 It's right around the central Gulf
00:18 Coast states through Louisiana,
00:20 up through Mississippi.
00:20 That's where we're under that exceptional
00:22 drought, but even points further is,
00:24 you'll see we're still under that
00:26 severe and extreme drought through
00:27 Tennessee, the Carolinas,
00:28 even down through northern Alabama,
00:30 through the state of or through
00:32 northern Georgia down through the
00:33 state of Alabama and even there
00:35 across parts of the Florida Panhandle
00:37 as well. So hey, we really do need
00:39 the rain and we're certainly going
00:41 to get some even as we head
00:43 throughout today.
00:44 We're not necessarily tracking a
00:45 widespread event until much later on
00:47 in the day, but still areas like
00:49 Atlanta getting in on some stormy
00:51 action throughout your Friday.
00:53 Now let's take this in the Friday
00:55 night around 9:30 PM Eastern Time.
00:56 We're starting to see that heavy rain
00:58 form here along again that I-10 corridor
01:01 in around the central Gulf Coast states.
01:03 Now if we're looking ahead to
01:05 Saturday, Georgia versus Alabama,
01:06 well, hey, it's going to be quite
01:08 stormy in the first quarter,
01:09 rainy in the second quarter,
01:11 and temperatures are going to be in the 60s.
01:13 Saturday is going to be the day for more
01:16 widespread heavier rain here across the
01:18 Southeast. Additional drought relief
01:19 on tap with travel disruption.
01:21 So of course, take precautions.
01:22 If you are doing any traveling,
01:24 you could run into some pond
01:26 on the roads, even some.
01:27 Flooding issues.
01:28 So again, you may run into
01:29 some slow traffic as well,
01:31 so just stay weather aware as you
01:32 head into your Saturday and Saturday
01:34 night and points further South.
01:35 Well, we even could see some severe weather,
01:37 so I want to time this out for you.
01:40 This is early Saturday.
01:41 Morning around 2:00 AM Eastern Time.
01:42 Still seeing that heavier rain pull
01:44 through again across a lot of the
01:46 Southeast heads up Atlanta,
01:47 even Montgomery getting in on some
01:49 heavy heavy rain overnight tonight
01:50 into early Saturday and then as we
01:52 take this throughout the afternoon,
01:53 some of these storms are going to
01:55 be a little bit more severe this
01:57 afternoon. Some of these storms
01:58 could even turn severe here,
02:00 especially there across the.
02:01 South the I-10 corridor.
02:02 That's where we could see some severe
02:04 weather even as we head into Saturday
02:06 night again that rain is going to
02:07 continue to spread and like I said,
02:09 it is going to be more widespread.
02:11 So hey, heads up.
02:12 It's going to be a drenching
02:13 start to the weekend,
02:14 and even as we had in the Sunday morning,
02:16 we're still talking about some
02:17 heavier rain there along the coast.
02:19 Saturday and Saturday evening.
02:20 Again, heads up.
02:21 We are tracking that potential
02:22 for severe weather flooding,
02:23 downpours, localized damaging wind gusts,
02:24 between 50 to 60 miles per hour.
02:26 But hey,
02:27 I wouldn't be surprised if we got a
02:29 report as high as 70 miles per hour
02:31 with your accurate local storm X.
