Police have arrested 16 Just Stop Oil protesters after the group staged a “wide awake” demonstration outside the Prime Minister’s London home ahead of the COP28 summit in Dubai.

The climate activists gathered outside Rishi Sunak’s residence on Wednesday evening banging pots and pans calling for a halt on fossil fuel exploration in the UK.

00:20 because he and his government
00:22 are responsible for a planned genocide
00:24 for him, his own children,
00:26 his own family, my family,
00:28 your family.
00:30 And I've written a song called 'We Tried'
00:32 about the climate crisis and what will happen
00:34 if we don't act and if ordinary people
00:36 do not come together in collective action
00:38 whilst we still have time.
00:40 So I thought you deserve to hear it.
