00:00 Two days before December, the Department of Trade and Industry started Christmas lights in Divisoria.

00:07 There are items that are more affordable than the price guide.

00:12 Bernadette Reyes was able to spot them.

00:15 The Christmas lights are really sparkling.

00:25 But if these are really sparkling, then these 16 Christmas lights should not be used anymore.

00:32 DTI has confiscated them from Divisoria in Manila because there is no ICC sticker or product standard mark

00:39 that is a record of quality standards.

00:42 The manufacturer was not included.

00:45 If something happens, we don't know who will be chased.

00:47 Who is the manufacturer? It's not included.

00:50 It's not tested. In the past few years, there are reports that Christmas lights are fired.

01:00 That's what we're avoiding.

01:02 It's obvious that the content is not being used anymore.

01:05 The content is yellow because it's not being sold anymore.

01:08 The notice of violation of the store was issued and four other items were confiscated.

01:13 According to DTI, aside from ensuring that the quality of the Christmas lights that will be purchased through the inspection of ICC or PS marking like this,

01:22 they also plan well how to use it.

01:25 For example, avoid many Christmas lights that may be burned.

01:31 We will not sleep with the Christmas lights on, especially at night.

01:35 So turn off all the Christmas lights. Do not overload.

01:38 Do not wet it because it's an electrical product.

01:41 And when we decorate, make sure it's far from children.

01:45 Even if it's a Christmas light, the bulbs used should be passed through the quality standard.

01:50 Some components or parts of the lights, we monitor and enforce the product standards such as wiring, electrical wiring, and bulbs.

02:02 That's included in the list of BPS and FTEB enforces compliance with those standards.

02:09 DTI also inspected some supermarkets in Divisoria.

02:13 Some Noche Buena items there are even cheaper than the price guide, such as spaghetti sauce and mayonnaise.

02:20 In the Noche Buena price guide issued by DTI, more than 150 items are more expensive compared to last year, including ham.

02:28 There's no more ham because ham is expensive.

02:32 So just a little bit of ham is enough.

02:39 The price guide for Noche Buena products is set by manufacturers.
