The legendary Honda model name “NX” returns with the new NX500.
The NX500 is designed as a mobile all-round fun maker that shines on winding roads as well as on gravel paths and doesn't shy away from long-distance adventures. The patented bike is based on the previous CB500X and received a new model name and a number of improvements in addition to the fresh design.
The sophisticated half-liter twin delivers 48 hp/35 kW, which is suitable for driving license A2, and the safety-enhancing HSTC traction control and lighter cast rims complete the equipment. With a full tank of 196 kg, the new NX500 even weighs 3 kilos less than its predecessor. Revised software mappings of the PGM-FI injection perfect combustion and thus acceleration from lower speeds, while at the same time exemplary economical fuel consumption (3.6 liters per 100 km)
High-quality 41mm Showa SFF-BP USD fork at the front and Showa mono shock with Pro-Link deflection on the rear wheel as well as revised spring/damper settings enhance the chassis. The double disc brake slows down with powerful two-piston brake calipers, and an LED headlight provides truly illuminating light output. An all-new 5-inch TFT screen integrates Honda RoadSync connectivity and is operated via a backlit four-way handlebar switch; with the free Honda RoadSync app also via voice control.
