00:00 My mother, Opal, was a burlesque dancer for over 20 years, back in the 1970s and 80s.
00:07 I grew up in that environment.
00:09 For years, mothers wanted to return to her dancing cities from yesterday, see what's still there.
00:16 She's also wanted to travel all over the country and visit all 48 states coast to coast, including Washington, D.C.
00:24 So, I thought it would be a great idea if we took one summer, traveled the country, visited her dancing cities from yesterday,
00:35 see what's still there, while traveling to all 48 states coast to coast.
00:42 Also, I thought while we were traveling, we could interview dancers all over the country, both young and old.
00:51 Those who dance today, and those who danced back in mother's time.
00:56 And show people how dancing is today compared with how it was yesterday.
01:02 This is a story that only we can tell.
01:05 This is our story.
