Crimea: Almost half a million people left without power after Black Sea storm
The storm hit southern Russia and the Crimean peninsula, bringing violent gusts of wind and giant waves breaking over motorways.

00:10 than 350 people from their homes amid severe flooding. In Crimea, almost half a million
00:16 people have been left without power. One person was killed in the region. Roofs and cars were
00:21 also damaged by falling trees. This after the same weather front hit Romania and Moldova
00:26 on Sunday. The Russian-installed government has declared a state of emergency and told
00:30 residents to stay at home. At an aquarium in Sevastopol, the largest city in Crimea,
00:36 around 800 exotic fish and sea creatures died after the room they were in was flooded. Meanwhile,
00:43 heavy snowfall has affected large parts of Ukraine. At least 2,000 villages and towns
00:48 across the country are without electricity. Emergency services and police were called
00:52 to assist some 840 vehicles stuck in the snow. At least three people have died in Odessa
00:57 after reportedly freezing to death. President Vladimir Zelensky also called on people to
01:03 remain vigilant and expressed thanks to soldiers on the front fighting for Ukraine's freedom
