00:00 Decked out in their hats, jackets, beards and all.
00:07 Hundreds of sweaty but jolly Territorians sizing up the competition before taking off
00:11 like Sanders reindeer.
00:14 The cops probably have a good chance, they're used to chasing a lot of people around and
00:17 they get the daily kind of exercise so I think they'll be a shoe in for the win.
00:22 Dressed from head to mistletoe as old St Nick, walkers and runners took to the 2km course
00:27 at the waterfront to show their support for kids in need.
00:30 So we've been training croc running for about 4 weeks now, we've been doing intervals 3
00:35 times a week, now crocs both in sports mode and in our casual set ups.
00:39 Now we might be in the Northern Territory but there is a little piece of the North Pole
00:43 waiting for the runners at the finish line.
00:45 A zero degree ice bath, a much needed relief for those Sanders who have taken part today.
00:54 The money raised from the race going towards the NT Starfish Swim Group, a swimming program
00:59 providing children with disabilities one on one swimming lessons.

01:12 Most people in Darwin know her, she's still holding world records.
01:16 She was a world champion swimmer, I know how difficult it was to walk that walk.
01:20 Whether you were in it to win it or just to be a part of the race.
01:23 The event showcasing people's generosity.
01:25 There's been a lot of support from the community, so it is very important and it's truly appreciated
01:33 too.
01:34 Without the support of all those people we couldn't do these things.
01:39 Bringing the Christmas spirit one sweaty beard at a time.
